In this entry, we find out that fighting Nargi isn't that easy, then go looking for a scroll to make it easier.

Now that you have the Sub-Cyclone, take the southern exit. You'll be able to travel under the sea.
Underwater
You'll meet new enemies, such as the crab enemies with pincers for hands and drill-like shells that can also be used as a dashing attack. If you need to level up, do it against these guys. They will take many hits to kill with the most powerful sword you can get, but you'll be able to get quite a bit of experience from them.
You'll also run into fish riding on starfish. These enemies are much like the pigs riding on the flies.
This area is slightly maze-like, but thankfully it's not that long at all. Your main goal is to head to the lower-right corner of the area, where you will come across a sunken ship. You can only enter the sunken ship from the south side. When you enter it, you'll face Nargi. His scales are so hard that your weapons will not work on him. You will suddenly be swallowed up by a whale, and you'll meet Whaleman, who sent the whale out to save you, fearing you would be defeated. Jack and Ryu say they could have defeated Nargi even though their weapons would not work due to Nargi's scales being too hard. Whaleman tells you of a scroll that tells you how to beat Nargi in Ghoul Land, which you'll need Mr. Slowpo's help to find.
You'll also get Magidoor, which allows you to exit dungeons without having to go all the way back to the exit on your own.
Inside Whale
You'll be inside the wall. Talk to Whaleman, and he will tell you to get behind him and stand near the north wall. This will allow you to control the whale. You can control the whale on the overworld much like the other vehicles you have used. Press B to return. At least you don't have to worry about fighting enemies with the whale.
You will need to return to Arcadia Town, then head to the northern mountains and go through that whole action sequence to talk to Mr. Slowpo again. Thankfully, the whale will wait for you.
When you meet Mr. Slowpo, he will tell you about Rockhedge, which will lead you to Ghoul Land. Only an ancient giant of Mt. Kyojin will take you there. From there, head to Mt. Kyojin and go through the entire action sequence there again. You'll find Dr. Archeo and the ancient giant, and the giant still moves. The watch he gave you earlier is the controller. Just give him the order through the microphone in the watch, and away he will go.
Press the Y button to use the ancient giant. You will be able to fly in the air and go just about anywhere. The only drawback is that you have to find a square of completely clear square of ground in order to land with the B button.
