PrinceWatercress plays Sly 2: Band of Thieves - Part 6 of 49

In this entry, we play as Bentley for the first time and get used to how he operates as we break into the discotheque and send the disco ball crashing down.

Theater Pickpocketing

You'll play as Sly for this one. You'll need to put a splice clip in the spotlights, but you'll need to slow down the fans from the control panel in order to access the control panel. You'll need the keys to control the fans, however, and you'll need to pickpocket guards from behind with the Circle button multiple times before you can get the keys from them. Once you get all the keys, you can then go to the brown box where all the padlocks are to unlock them.

Also, be sure to smash up everything in the nightclub dressing room. You'll definitely need the coins as you go through the episode as well as the game itself.

There is a pipe leading to some platforms and one of the flashlight guards watching TV; rail walk on the lighting rigs to sneak up on that guy and get his key.

Once you unlock the control panel, you'll slow down the fans and make it easier to climb up them to the console on the chandelier. Press Circle at the Sly icon to insert the splice clip and destroy the spotlight security system. You're done here.

Bentley

Bentley is the brains of the gang as well as the demolition expert. Much like Murray, he can't do any of the acrobatic stuff that Sly can do, and unlike Sly or Murray, he isn't exactly meant for combat; Bentley is more of a character to use for stealth, making him more of a challenge to play. He can, however, crawl underneath tables much like Sly can, since he is small enough to do so. What he lacks in strength or real combat ability, he makes up for in being able to knock enemies from far away with a sleep dart and using tools, gadgets and various bombs to his advantage. Some of the gadgets and techniques you'll earn for him will end up being quite valuable.

Disco Demolitions

You'll be playing as Bentley for the first time in order to get to this mission.

The Trigger Bomb is a throwable bomb with remote detonation. Press the assigned button to pull one out, then press it again to ready the throw. Use the left control stick or D-Pad to change your aim, and press the assigned button a third time to throw it. Interestingly, this move does not need the special energy meter. If you want to cancel a bomb throw, pressing Triangle.

12:55 - Bombing these support posts as Bentley makes it easier to get to the clue bottles around the nightclub entrance as Sly, assuming you haven't gotten them yet.

To start this mission, you'll need to return to the discotheque entrance. At this point, you should know where it is, having followed Neyla and snuck all the way over here for two of the podium treasures.

Once you go in, you'll need to drop a bomb at the console of the laser barrier with Triangle. Once you place the bomb, get away or else the explosion will hurt you. To get past the flashlight guard, you'll have to use the Binocucom with R3, then use the left and right analog sticks to aim and zoom in respectively so that you target the guard. Once you do that, press R1 to shoot a sleep dart. If the dart hits, the guard will be put to sleep. From there, go up to the guard, press Triangle, then get away so that the bomb destroys the guard in one hit.

You'll be doing this with Bentley quite a bit to get rid of some guards whenever you play as him, and the sleep darts will be the most useful weapon you have. Just remember that once you fire a sleep dart, you'll need to wait a few seconds and listen for the sound of another dart being pulled back on Bentley's crossbow before you can fire another sleep dart. It is also best not to miss, because if you fall short of the target, the enemy will hear the dart hit and run towards you.

After the second laser barrier, you'll need to bomb all four of the pillars supporting the disco ball in order to shake the peacock sign at the front of the nightclub. Thankfully, you can press L3 to keep tabs of where the pillars are at so you can bomb them with the Triangle button. Just watch out for laser barriers and the occasional flashlight guard.

I don't show this off, but if you attack the turntables here, you'll get a remix of the music that is here, complete with Dimitri announcing there is a remix.
