Episode 4 starts only with Bentley. You'll be able to free Sly before you know it, but you'll have to get a few things done in order before that can happen.
Episode 4: Jailbreak
After a week of data crunching, Bentley finds out where Sly and Murray have been locked away: Prague, Czech Republic, where The Contessa has her own prison. The Contessa married a wealthy aristocrat while still studying criminology, but the aristocrat died suspiciously weeks later. After putting her education and newly-acquired estate to good use, she built her own criminal rehabilitation center in Prague where she uses hypnotherapy to turn criminals into modern citizens, which earned her a prominent position in Interpol. It is up to Bentley to rescue Sly and Murray before they become...shoe salesmen?
Eavesdrop on the Contessa
The Adrenaline Burst, when equipped, allows Bentley to run very fast for a few seconds when the assigned button is pressed. While it can get you out of trouble, be careful with it, as you might run into something you don't want to run into, like another enemy. This ability also uses energy from the special weapon meter.
As you're moving around, you'll want to watch out at the train tracks, as the trains will instantly destroy you if they collide into you.
At the bridge leading to The Contessa's house, the statues may come to life as you pass by. Be ready to drop Sleep Bombs with the button you've assigned them to if that happens, so you can easily take them out with the bombs laid with the Triangle button. The wolf enemies are the worst, as they can send spiders after you that will move towards you, flash red and eventually explode once they flash red quickly enough. You can destroy the spiders, and sometimes even get health out of them. Also, watch out for the tank patrolling the house...it packs a punch! And if the tank doesn't get you, the spikes on the ramp leading up to the top of the house might. Jump over the steel panels with the holes in them to avoid the spikes, which can also do a lot of damage.
Once you reach the top of the ramp and seemingly can't get anywhere, turn around and jump on the roof covering the ramp, then follow it up. You'll find one of many spider webs you can leap on like a trampoline to a platform at the top. You'll start the mission proper. Go to Binocucom mode and hit The Contessa with the sleep darts, which are equipped with the ability to listen in on The Contessa for this mission. You'll find out that The Contessa is really a member of the Klaww Gang who needs spice for the hypnosis and is using her rehabilitation center to force criminals to reveal where they've hidden their fortunes and make a ton of money. You'll also find out that Sly Cooper is in "The Hole," which is surrounded by guards with motion detectors that make escape impossible.
Train Hack
For the next step in all of this, Bentley must hack into the six computer stations around the train tracks to take control of the control system for the electromagnetic train, reverse the polarity and turn the train into a giant projectile that will break through the city walls and give Sly a big enough hole to escape through.
From here, you'll need to use L3 to find out where all six of the terminals are. Once you get near one, press Circle to enter the hacking mini-game. Once again, you'll have to blast your way through the barriers in a twin stick shooter style mini-game, much like Robotron 2084 or Geometry Wars (or the "Bentley Comes Through" level from the first game), destroying the barriers and tanks that will be in your way as you move and shoot in different directions on your way to the green node to successfully hack the terminal. Thankfully, there will always be a green triangle that will show which direction you are shooting in. Sometimes the enemies will be stationary, but other times, enemies will endlessly spawn out of indestructible enemy generators. If there are gates in the way to the
Once you complete the mission, the train will crash into the wall. You'll still have the motion detectors to deal with, but the train won't be a problem any more.
