We're at max level. Let's take down The Freezer and then take the fight to Von Hesler and see what the heck is going on before we bring peace back to Vladamasco.
This video starts at the maximum level of 16. Thanks to the Ice Queens, it is rather simple to level up to the highest point possible (took me 40 minutes!), where you'll have 256 HP.
As you progress through the Ice Palace, there will be gray spiked cylinders rolling towards you (watch for those shadows!), icicles that fall (again, watch for those shadows!) and red conveyor belts (jump around to move faster). You'll also see a giant bird, but it just blows you back and does not necessarily kill you.
The pink things that spit out blue balls will freeze you with said blue balls.
The Crystal Knight jump around, but if you're at a high enough level, you'll be able to destroy them immediately.
At one point near the end, four Ice Queens will fly around you in formation, but the hat can kill them. After the save point, drop into one of the pits at the left-hand side to see three spoon men near a bowl of soup. You can keep talking of them to get as many as ten Soup Cards. From here, drop down again, then get back to where the save point is, drop down at the other side after the save point and continue on to meet The Freezer again.
Just like before, watch for the icicles and lasers and stay on the move. He can also drop five large ice rocks at you. Use a Soup Card to get rid of his invincibility, then strike him with the Lightning Hat and your spin attack. He should be as good as gone at that point. A giant bird will then take you outside.
The Ice Palace will then melt, and so will the snow. Meanwhile, Von Hesler has Hydra summon his troops and have them surround the castle only to be told that they've all been destroyed except for the two of them.
You'll be back in the village of Vampra. Be sure to buy all the supplies you need and save your game, then talk to Professor Von Steam to fly to Von Hesler Island. On the way there, the engine on the airship will catch fire, and the airship will go down in the Jungle of Mazes. Camellia will go missing, and Spike and Rudy will have to go find her, and unless you take the right path, you'll never get to Von Hesler's castle. Be sure to save.
Camellia will be up ahead, but she has a sprained ankle and will catch up when she gets get better.
From Camellia, go north, then go east twice. (If you hear a bell, you're going in the right direction; if you hear a scream, you'll go back to the screen where you found Camelia.) Go north one screen, then go west one screen. Go south one screen, then west one screen. Go north one screen, and you'll meet a boss. Along the way, you'll face Forest Cloves...which aren't that strong.
To beat Moray, stay on the move and keep hitting him with the spin attack to avoid his projectiles and his whip arms. When you get his health down to zero, he will Level Up and revive, and he will also be able to hit you with his eyeballs. Do the same thing as before. If you can get behind him at any point in the battle, wail on him, but don't get too close. When he dies, he tries to hit you with an orange ball; attack it to split it up, then strike it again to split the balls into even smaller sizes and destroy them.
From Moray, go one screen north, one screen west, one screen north, one screen east and one screen north. From there, head to the north to enter the castle. If you mess up, you'll start back at the screen north of where Moray was. The Warriors will move around and attack you with spears, but you can easily run past them.
At the castle, continue north. You'll finally face Hydra, who reveals her true nature and reveals that she is going to turn on Von Hesler and rule Vladamasco herself.
To beat Hydra, avoid the projectiles from the dragon skeletons and attack Hydra with the spin attack whenever possible. Also, avoid the spear when she throws it. When you empty her health meter, she will Level Up and revive, then fly around and summon a small red dragon. Use your spin attack and the Lighting hat to attack Hydra and also destroy the dragon. If Hydra ever stops moving, move out of the way to avoid her fireball attack.
When you beat Hydra a second time, she will tell you that you must defeat Von Hesler. Head north to meet him. He will mention that you will go down in the name of Owasa.
Stay on the move and hit Von Helser with the Lightning Hat. Don't get too close, as he can fry you fire magic, and stay away from his magic scepter when it flies around and shoots lasers. If you have any magic attacks, feel free to use them. If Von Hesler floats in place, stay on the move to avoid the projectiles he shoots out.
After you beat Von Hesler, a one-eyed ghost will show up and float around Von Hesler, who will take a more demonic form. If Von Hesler throws anything out, be ready to run away from it. The orbs do anything from shooting out sickles to splitting into fireballs to shooting out lasers while flying to the side. If you have any Bat and Angel cards, be sure to use them to whittle down Von Hesler's health meter.
When you beat Von Hesler a second time, he will mention that there is still someone he can turn against Spike and Rudy. Rudy immediately recognizes it as Camelia. Head to the south and chase after the ghost
When Spike and Rudy catch up with Camellia, it is seemingly too late. However, Camellia fights the ghost and defeats it in anti-climactic fashion. Everyone poses, then the ghost turns into a coin before Spike can pose. Spike grabs the coin automatically, then returns to pose.
Rudy reunites with his dad. Von Hesler tells Rudy that when he found out something was wrong, it was already too late and the ghost had taken over his mind. Von Hesler then tells Rudy he is worthy of becoming the next heir.
Camellia reunites with her mom, who says that thanks to the combined efforts of Spike, Rudy and Camellia, Vladamasco is safe and can now rebuild, and that Camelia will make a fine ruler of Vampra.
Spike reunites with his parents, who notice that Spike has grown up and has proven himself as a prince, and will make a fine king someday. The credits then roll. You've just beaten The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang!
