PrinceWatercress plays The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang - Part 6 of 8

Can you believe we're near the end of the game already?

At this point in the game, being at Level 10 is recommended. This will give you 160 HP and will make you pretty powerful for this point in the game.

The blobs are just tiny blobs that jump around. At this point, you should be able to destroy them easily, but they can give you a good amount of experience.

Further north is the Desert Root Temple, and you'll have to go in there to continue the adventure.

You'll soon meet Croc, a crocodile man with a shield and spear who wants the water of the Kalala Desert all to himself. He explains that the Desert Root soaks the water up and he takes it, then decides to take on Spike.

If you're Level 10 and you have the Feather Hat, Croc will get shredded to pieces with one throw. He does run and jump at you and also strike with his spear, but you won't see any attacks if you're at that point in your experience grinding.

Croc will then level up and regain some health and also get the ability to shoot lightning out of the tip of his spear, but the Feather Hat will once again tear him to ribbons. Croc will tell you that you will have to take on the Desert Root to get the water. Croc dies, but his shield will survive. If you destroy the shield before going further into the temple, you can get something good.

The monkeys will climb up and down the Desert Root and throw stuff at you. Don't even bother with them, because you can't.

The Wrap Warriors will move around diagonally, and the white ones will use their wrappings like a whip to attack you, but you can hit them easily if they come to you.

When you reach the top, you'll face the Desert Root. The root will tell you that Hydra commanded it to give the water to no one, and if you want it, you'll have to fight him for it.

Throw the hat at the Desert Root at the jaw when the mouth it is open. Stay on the move to avoid the leaves and the monkey's projectiles, and stay in the center of the room to avoid the hands. When you beat the Desert Root, the water will return and the Desert Root will return to the jungle.

Meanwhile, Von Hesler and Felina will focus on the Kingdom of Vampra, where the Freezer will stop Spike and Rudy. Meanwhile, Spike and Rudy bring the water of the Kalala Desert back and save Camelia. From here, Professor Spike shows up with a new black car, and news of a tunnel that leads to Vampra. Camelia, Spike and Professor Steam leave, then the tunnel is opened and our heroes go through it...and leave Rudy behind. Rudy rushes to catch up with everyone, then everyone meets in Vampra.

Camelia notices that the climate of Vampra used to be warm and dry as opposed to the cold, snowy environment that it has now. Rudy elects to take a break after chasing after the van for so long. Spike thinks that Von Hesler's army may be to blame. You'll also learn that a strange person had headed towards the castle and has not returned.

You'll soon reach the town. You'll find out that Von Hesler's evil army occupies Castle Vampra and that the Queen has been taken to Von Hesler's castle. Also, you'll be able to save your game here as well as buy stuff.

One of the thing you'll be able to buy is the Lightning Hat, which is better than the Feather Hat. Unfortunately, you'll need 800 G to buy it, so if you don't have enough money, you'll need to grind in the fields to the east. Once you get it, it will home in on any nearby enemies when thrown and virtually chase them. It is also useful against bosses, too.

The Python Bunnies are tiny bunnies with sharp teeth that attack you if you get close. The name is an obvious reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. If you can kill a good amount of them, it makes taking a large group of them on easier.

Shortly after you enter the wilderness, there is an area where Python Bunnies spawn infinitely, and you can use this area to get a ton of gold and experience if you need it.
