SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 16 of 22

Now that what we know what the aliens are up to, it's up to Bart to stop them.

Level 6

In Level 6, you're back to playing as Bart, and you now have to find Krusty in order to stop the aliens. The map here is the same as in Level 3, except it is in the dead of night. Some of the collectibles will be in the same places; others will not.

One of the vehicles is an "Itchy and Scratchy The Movie" van with a set of four green loudspeakers. You'll need it to get the "Radioactive Man #1" collector card that is in mid-air as well as the "Itchy and Scratchy Cel" collector card below the Duff blimp. Just park the vehicle nearby, then jump on the van to get it.

At the start of the level, talk to Apu, who will be right in front of you. You'll start the first mission. Apu won't help Bart, so talk to Otto, who is also nearby. Otto is headed off to drop some kids off at Krustylu Studios, which is exactly where Bart is headed. Of course, you have to help Otto out with that.

Mission 1: Going to the Lu'

Mission: Collect all the kids and get to Krustylu Studios before Krusty leaves.

You'll be in the school bus at the start of this one. Be careful when picking up the kids, as you will be driving on the sidewalks while picking them up, which will leave you vulnerable to increasing your Hit & Run Meter. One of the kids will be on the ramp, and as you go through the rings, you'll pick up the "Bort License Plate" collector card.

You'll also be picking up kids on the Squidport boardwalk, which means you're going to hit people unless you're careful. You only have two minutes, but as long as you're careful and fast at the same time, you should be able to make it to Krustylu without much of a problem.

At Krustylu Stuido, talk to Barney. You'll trigger the second mission after Barney tells you that Krusty is at the Squidport to promote Buzz Cola.

Also, the alcove with the four Buzz Cola boxes and the two vending machines is back, and if you pick either the second or sixth mission in the mission select menu repeatedly, you can keep going back to this area with all of the hit points on the boxes reset, giving you free reigns to farm as many coins as you need.

Mission 2: Getting Down With The Clown

Mission: Find Krusty's limo to find Krusty. Talk to Krusty before his limo picks him up.

Getin your vehicle and chase after the movie van. When you make it to the observatory, you'll complete this part of the mission. When you talk to the limo driver, you will race Krusty's limousine. It will be a race to the bottom where the Squidport is, and you'll have to make it there before Krusty's limousine does. Beware, Krusty's limo is pretty fast.

It should be mentioned that if you pay attention to the lighthouse searchlight, it will catch Homer's shadow near the moon.

The pink convertible that looks like it is stuck in the wall of Planet Hype can be reached and commandeered, and it is the level-specific car for Level 6. This is the only place where you can find it.

When you manage to beat the limo, find Krusty and talk to him. Bart will plead to Krusty for help with the aliens, but Krusty does not believe him. Bart realizes that Professor Frink is not only the one person who will believe him, but the one person who will have proof that aliens are running amok.

Mission 3: Lab Coat Caper

Mission: Find and locate Professor Frink.

Get in your vehicle and follow Professor Frink's hovercar. He doesn't go to the observatory right away; instead, he drives around town for a little while before finally heading over there. Pay close attention to where he is going and don't assume he's going to a place.

When Frink heads to the ramp, he will drive around the loop surrounding the ramp two times before going elsewhere.

Ralph's race is at the observatory, and the wager race will be at Kamp Krusty.

There is a platform suspended by rope on one end of the break in the freeway, and if you can reach it, you can get a collector card.

The well takes you down the hill below the observatory. This acts as a shortcut to one of the collector cards.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 15 of 22

Well, we now know what the aliens are doing...but first: side missions!

Milhouse's race is a simple oval. Finally, a simple race! Just don't make too many mistakes on this one.

Professor Frink will be near the park, and he is the source of the bonus mission for this level. He will ask you if you have seen some sort of hovering death machine, which he calls the Hovercar, and tells Apu that the Hovercar became sentient when he installed the on-board computer. He asks Apu to get the Hovercar off the road before the authorities find him and take him away again.

Bonus Mission: Kinky Frinky

Mission: Find and disable the hovercar before time runs out!

You have three minutes to do this one, which makes sense, given how fast the Hovercar is. Sometimes, however, the hovercar goes a little bit too fast and does a little bit of damage to itself. Nevertheless, the Hovercar will go everywhere, and you'll have to drive pretty well to keep up with it.

When you destroy the Hovercar, thirty seconds will be added to your time. Make it back to Professor Frink before time runs out. You'll unlock the Hovercar as your reward.

In Ralph's race, you'll be racing against Bart's Ferrini. Bart drives pretty well, so knowing where the shortcuts are and being able to build an early lead are both essential.

In Nelson's race, be careful near the tunnel area. It is possible to run into other drivers, and the computer-controlled opponents will sometimes tend to do the same. When possible, drive on the right side of the road both ways.

For completing the races, you unlock the El Carro Loco, which has some very good speed and handling. The acceleration isn't that bad and the toughness is about average. You may find it useful for races in the future.

The wager race is near the bank, which is near the fire truck that acts as a ramp. Be sure to utilize shortcuts for this race, as the NPC traffic can be pretty horrendous.

The collector cards for Level 5 are as follows:

Apu's T-Shirt: The "Don't Have A Cow, Man!" shirt from when Lisa became a vegetarian.

Pin Pals Shirt: The shirt worn by Hormer's bowling team, which Apu was a part of.

Prop 24 Sign: Protest sign wielded by anti-immigrant mob members.

Baby Feeder: The vest with eight bottles that Apu wore to feed the octuplets.

Ganesh Costume: Worn by Homer to try to stop an arranged marriage between Apu and Manjula.

Chutney Squishee: Apu's failed Slushee idea.

Hot Dog: The filth encrusted hot dog that got Apu fired from the Kwik-E-Mart briefly.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 14 of 22

I don't want to say it was aliens, but...it was aliens.

For the next mission, drive to the Krusty Burger by the construction site and talk to Krusty the Clown. Apu will ask for information of the distribution of Buzz Cola, and Krusty tells Apu to tail a more "professional" scumbag such as the local police. He also tells Apu that he will have more luck if he "looks more American."

If you haven't gotten it already, go buy the American costume for Apu. Once you do that, head to the spot at the Krusty Burger and look at your new outfit in the window. Once you do, you'll trigger the next mission.

Mission 4: This Little Piggy

Mission: Follow the police to find a criminal.

Get in your vehicle, and follow the trail of donuts to find Chief Wiggum, who will be right in front of you when you collect them all in time. Follow Chief Wiggum to find a professional criminal, and in this case, it will be Snake. Talk to Snake, and Apu will ask for his assistance. Snake tells Apu that if he picks up the litter for his community service, he will help him.

Mission 5: Never Trust A Snake

Mission: Collect all the garbage before time runs out. Don't miss any pieces of garbage!

Oh, boy. This is probably one of the hardest missions in the game. The music more than makes up for it, though.

Follow the garbage truck and collect the garbage. This seems harder than it sounds, since there is a huge delay between pieces of trash being dropped and the garbage truck seems to want to run into walls.

When you pick up five pieces of trash from the truck, YOU HAVE TO PICK UP 25 MORE ON THE STREETS. This is where the mission gets difficult. The fact that you don't gain any time from the first part of this mission to add to the second part you have to get out of your vehicle and pick them up near the monorail area doesn't make this much easier. There is even garbage on the roof! Why is there garbage on the roof?!? More importantly, why has it taken me this long to question anything in a game on these blogs?

You'll definitely want to do the next part as quickly as you can, because you will be cutting it close. Once again, you have to do everything in three minutes, and when you complete one part of the mission, you don't get any extra time to make this easier. From here, you'll want to head back to the DMV. When you make it to Snake, the timer mercifully stops.

Snake will tell you that his friend at the DMV has the info you need. Head into the DMV and pick up the folder. Apu will notice it is empty. Talk to Snake again, and he will ask for your help again.

Mission 6: Kwik Cash

Mission: Help Snake with his "community service." Destroy the armored car and avoid Chief Wiggum!

You'll be in Snake's convertible for this one. Drive to the Googolplex, and watch out for Chief Wiggum. You'll eventually pass him on your destination, and what you'll want to do is turn around and take the jump on the broken section of the freeway. You'll lose Wiggum. Turn around and head back to the Googolplex. You'll soon see the armored car, and you'll want to destroy it by guiding it into a wall or other cars. Do not take the armored car head on; you will pay for it.

When you finally destroy the armored car, drive to Snake's hideout. Before you can make it there, however, you'll have to deal with Chief Wiggum again. If you can drive carefully and use the park as a shortcut, you'll be able to lose him again. Now you can get to Snake's hideout. Snake will reveal that the Buzz Cola trucks are registered to the museum.

Bart will be nearby. Talk to him to start the last mission of Level 5. He will tell you that the museum closes in five minutes, and that you will have to get there quickly.

Some of the collector cards are on the freeway, and you'll have to ramp off at an angle in order to get them.

Mission 7: Curious Curator

Mission: Drive tot he museum before the curator leaves.

This time around, you'll be taking Bart's car - the Ferrini, which is the red convertible he drove to Nashville in. Drive to the museum. When you make it there in time, you'll see the curator speeding away. Destroy their car to get the key to the museum. The curator is fast, but you'll be able to take them down by crashing into them repeatedly or getting them to hit something at a high speed.

Once you destroy the curator's car, race back to the museum before time runs out. You'll end the level and get a cutscene. Apu notices Buzz Cola dripping from a meteor, and when it drips onto a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, the skeleton gets red eyes and comes to life. Bart accidentally trips on a power cord, however, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex falls apart. Apu and Bart investigate and find Kodos and Krang behind an air vent. Kodos and Krang are worried about the ratings for their show, "Foolish Humans," and that despite the wasp cameras recording the citizens of Springfield unknowingly doing dumb things for alien entertainment, the ratings are down in all demographics. They plan to introduce Buzz Cola into the town's water supply to make everyone go mad and supply laser guns to them at the Squidport, causing everyone to destroy themselves and the town simply to give their show ratings.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 13 of 22

Here's an interesting twist. For this level, we're playing as Apu, which makes for some interesting situations and missions in this game.

Level 5

In this level, instead of playing as one of the four Simpsons, you're playing as Apu. As promised, he is going after who is responsible for distributing Buzz Cola.

You'll be back in what is the map for Level 2, except it's night time. If you found a wasp camera, collector card or level gag in a certain area, you're more than likely going to find it in that same area in Level 5; however, some things will be different areas that didn't have a collectible item in Level 2.. His vehicle, a yellow T-top convertible, will be there at the start, and performs very well with decent stats all around.

The wasp cameras here will have a shield, and will take two hits to destroy. They also tend to stay away from you as you attack. At this point, the game is going to be harder.

A wasp camera will be located where the destroyed monorail car used to be. Another area where the monorail is will be the site of a collector card.

Also, Apu does an elbow drop if you attack in mid-air.

To start the first mission, you'll have to use the map to find the cola truck, then investigate on foot. When you make it to the barn, you'll find the trigger point for the first mission.

Mission 1: Incriminating Caffeine

Mission: Follow the cola truck and collect all the evidence. Don't miss any cola crates!

Get in your vehicle, then follow the cola truck and collect all of the crates that fall out. The cola truck goes faster than you would expect it to, but Apu's convertible is able to keep up.

Also, why does Apu's missions have the best music? Granted, you have a sitar and Bollywood-style chants, but still...

You'll have to commandeer a taller vehicle from someone else to reach the nearby building with the metal stairways (which leads to where the Springfield Elementary milk gag used to be) and reach some collectibles.

You can also buy costumes for Apu at Moe's. Don't forget to hit up the level gags when you're there.

When you collect all of the crates, you'll automatically complete the mission. Talk to Louie - the guy who runs the wage races - at the Legitimate Busnessman's Social Club nearby to start up the next one. Don't forget to go down the nearby stairs for a collector card.

Louie will tell you that complete strangers are driving the Buzz Cola trucks, then tells him not to stick his nose where it doesn't belong unless he wants it to come back to him and his family. That reminds Apu to head back to the hospital and pick up the octuplets from the doctor's office.

Mission 2: ...And Baby Makes 8

Mission: Drive to the hospital before time runs out! Avoid the mob!

Get in your vehicle and drive to the hospital. Since the mob did not like you asking questions, the mob will go after you not once, but twice, with the second time being when you reach the hospital. When you lose the second mob car and drive back to the hospital, talk to Dr. Hibbert outside. He will tell you that the children are about to use the restroom in his waiting room, and that diapers will not be covered by Apu's insurance. You'll have to be fast, since the parents of the Shelbyville Nine are grabbing every diaper in town.

The Obliteratatron - the green and purple monster truck - is the secret vehicle for Level 5. You can tear through a lot of things with this tough truck.

Mission 3: Eight Is Too Much

Mission: Hit the Shelbyville Van and collect the diapers before time runs out!

To start this mission, you'll have to find Homer in the hospital parking lot and buy the Car Built For Homer from him for 500 coins, assuming you haven't gotten it already. Once you get it, the mission starts.

Get in the Car Built For Homer, then chase after the van and collect the diapers that drop when you hit it. If you can, try to trap the van in a corner and keep ramming it for diapers. Once you get ten diapers, head back to Dr. Hibbert outside of the hospital to complete the mission.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 12 of 22

It's bonus mission time! After that, we see the collector cards for Levels 3 and 4.

The collector cards for Level 4 are as follows:

Mr. Plow Jacket: The jacket that Homer wore while plowing snow as "Mr. Plow." Marge won't let him get rid of the jacket because she loves it.

Burns Portrait: Marge's painting of a nude Mr. Burns.

Love Letter: The only love letter Marge ever received from Homer.

"Homer" Bowling Ball: The bowling ball Homer gave Marge for her birthday.

Red Blazer: The red blazer that Marge wore as a realtor.

Boudoir Album: A set of pictures from a free boudoir photography session Homer won as a prize.

Pepper Spray: The bottle of pepper spray Marge carried while a police officer, which Homer sprayed on his eggs as a toppings.

The Comic Book Guy will be near the cemetery. Talk to him, and he will tell you that Agnes' son is intercepting every gift he is trying to sent her. Marge offers to help him get the gifts back.

Bonus Mission: Beached Love

Mission: Go to the school to collect all the intercepted gifts. Don't let time run out!

Get in your vehicle and head to Springfield Elementary. When you get there, collect all of the intercepted gifts, which will be all over the school grounds. Two of them will be on the rooftop and another will be near a window, so you'll have to get out of your vehicle to get them.

When you get them all, head back to Comic Book Guy and talk to him to end the mission.  You'll unlock The Comic Book Guy's Kremlin.

For Ralph's race, you'll be racing Professor Frink's Hovercar, which is a very fast and nimble car. Practice definitely makes perfect for this one, and use the shortcut with the glass Krusty Buzz Cola sign near Mr. Burns' mansion and the Stonecutter's Tunnel to get an edge. When you're in the tunnel, don't use the stairs near the sacred parchment as a ramp.

Milhouse's race has you race through Mr. Burns' mansion and into the power plant. At the Stonecutter's Tunnel, don't use the stairs as a ramp.

Completing all of the races in Level 4 will unlock the Clown Car. The speed, acceleration and toughness are average, but the handling is divine. Also, bubbles come out of the back of the car as you're driving.

The wager race is in front of Springfield Elementary.

The collector cards for Level 3 are as follows:

Angel Skeleton: The "angel skeleton" that was part of a publicity stunt for Heavenly Hills Mall.

Bart's Soul: From the episode "Bart Sells His Soul." Sold to Milhouse for five dollars. Lisa ends up getting it back for Bart.

Lisa Lionheart: Lisa's answer to the Malibu Stacy doll.

Lisa's Valentine: The valentine that Ralph gave to Lisa.

Lisa's Machine: A machine Lisa made in an attempt to learn on her own due to a teacher's strike.

Evil Braces: "Lisa needs braces. Dental plan!" This is the set of braces that Lisa has to wear because, thanks to Homer, the Simpsons do not have a dental plan.

Soy Pop: Lisa's futuristic favorite snack in her college years as told by a fortune-teller.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 11 of 22

And with this, Level 4's main missions are completed.

At the cemetery, talk to Hans Moleman. He will tell you to talk to Abraham Lincoln about the crop circles as he asks you to get him to the Springfield Retirement Castle before the police throw him in jail for missing curfew.

Mission 4: Return of the Nearly-Dead

Mission: Race Chief Wiggum to the Retirement Castle!

For this one, you'll have to race Chief Wiggum to the retirement home. You'll have to drive well at the beginning, especially considering that Chief Wiggum might use the glass Buzz Cola sign as a shortcut. When you reach the retirement home, talk to Abe. He will tell you that someone has stolen his pills, and you will have to get them back for him before he can help you.

Mission 5: Wolves Stole My Pills

Mission: Get Grampa's meds back from the bullies before time runs out. Don't miss any meds!

Get in your vehicle and find the bullies in the Springfield Elementary School playground. You'll only have a very short time to get to the playground. When you get there, talk to Nelson. He will tell you that they traded the drugs to some guys in a black sedan for toys. You'll have to look for the black sedan near the school, and once you find it, you'll have to chase it in order to grab all the pills that it drops. Given that the Canyonero is pretty bad at cornering and the black sedan is, this may take a few attempts.

When you get all the medicine, go back to the retirement home. On the way there, you'll have to avoid a black sedan. You may have to use a shortcut to avoid them. Talk to Abe to give his medicine, which will put Abe to sleep. You'll now have to head to Kwik-E-Mart to wake him up. Thankfully, it's pretty close. Take the caffeine pills when you're inside, then head back to Abe to wake him up. You'll get a cutscene where Abe wakes up and tells you what the crop circle looked like: a planet with an antenna. Turns out, it's the Buzz Cola logo. Marge comes to the conclusion that she will have to use this cola to job Bart's memory.

Drive to the Simpson house and enter Bart's bedroom by climbing in from the outside. You can get a level gag as well as the ability to buy costumes here. Talk to Bart, and he will finally snap out of it and tell you that Buzz Cola is being used as an alien mind control soda in the spaceship to make the town go crazy. Marge realizes she will need more firepower as Officer Marge, and this is where you have to buy the police uniform for 400 coins. Look at your new uniform in Bart's mirror, and you'll trigger the next mission.

Mission 6: The Cola Wars

Mission: Run and collect all the evil cola cans before time runs out!

Get out of Bart's bedroom, then run across the level to get all of the cola cans, which are thankfully next to each other. You'll have 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but if you can move around, this one is doable. Afterwards, head to Kwik-E-Mart which will be close to where most of the cola cans were. He says he will get to the bottom of this, and tells her to be careful as the cola has indeed made people go crazy. This sets Marge on a mission to find whoever is distributing this and destroy the cola.

Mission 7: From Outer Space

Mission: Destroy all the cola delivery trucks before time runs out!

Get in your vehicle - preferably the Canyonero or another tough vehicle - and chase after the cola trucks. The cola trucks are pretty big and pretty tough, so having a vehicle with high toughness is ideal. After destroying the first one, drive to Mr. Burns' mansion. You'll see another cola truck to destroy, followed by another one as soon as you destroy the second one and leave the power plant. Thankfully, the second one is easy to destroy if the cola truck crashes into a wall of its own accord.

After the third cola truck, head to the Simpson house. Chief Wiggum will come after you, but if you enter the house through the front door, you'll automatically lose him.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 10 of 22

It's time to start Level 4, and this time, the terrain will be a lot more familiar.

Level 4

At the beginning of the level, it is now evening. Talk to Bart, and you'll start the first mission. Bart will be speaking gibberish still, and Marge will note that there may be a connection between all of the weird happenings in Springfield.

Level 4's map is the same as Level 1, and most of the level gags, coin crates and wasp camera will be where you found them in Level 1. Some of the collectibles will not be in the exact same location, but if you know where you look, you can find stuff in this level quite easily.

Near the Simpsons residence is the Canyonero. While it is fast, it is not the best at taking corners at high speeds and it can tip over pretty easily if you overdo it. Nevertheless, it has decent stats and has four stars in the toughness rating

Mission 1: For A Few Donuts More

Mission: Find Chief Wiggum and collect donuts for him before time runs out!

Get in a vehicle, then follow the police to Lard Lad's. Once there, talk to Chief Wiggum. He will help you, but only if you can get him some donuts.

Get in your vehicle again, and hit the donut truck to get it to drop some donuts. You'll have to do this ten times in two minutes. When you manage to pull that off, head back to Lard Lad's. Wiggum will tell you that there are no clues in the recently-formed crop circle in town.

From here, drive to Cletus' house and talk to Cletus to start the next mission. Cletus will think you're a city slicker reporter and try to run away.

You can buy a car from Willie on the Springfield Elementary school grounds, but you won't necessarily need it for this level. Speaking of the school grounds, the wager race is near the front door, and you can buy costumes if you get inside. You'll need the inmate costume for a future mission.

Mission 2: Redneck Roundup

Mission: Follow Cletus and collect what falls from his truck. Don't miss any items!

Once again, you're tailing another person; this time it's Cletus. Thankfully, you can always tell which vehicle is him from the chicken feathers coming out of the truck bed. Stay close, and don't miss any items. Your chase will take you through the power plant as well as the Stonecutter's Tunnel, and the items that Cletus drops is completely random...one of them is a crate of copies of the new Bonestorm game!

After you collect the seventh item, go talk to Cletus again. He will realize you are not a reporter after all, and offers to help you if you help him with the harvest.

This is where you buy the inmate costume from inside Springfield Elementary. Once you get it, come back to Cletus and move up to his truck to start the next mission.

Mission 3: Ketchup Logic

Mission: Help Cletus harvest ketchup packets for the winter. Don't let time run out!

You have two minutes to pick up all eighteen ketchup packets, and not only is Cletus' pick-up truck not the fastest thing in the world, you'll have to do things such as ride up a firetruck ladder to get some of the more interesting ones. Once again, pay attention to the map to see where you need to go. At one point, you'll get to ride into Mr. Burns' mansion - a place you couldn't enter in Level 1 - and through the giant chessboard into the power plant. When you get into the power plant, be sure to back up a bit so you can make the jump to the final ketchup packet.

When you leave the power plant, you'll have to outrun a black sedan. If you can drive pretty well, you can lose the black sedan in very little time. After you escape the black sedan, head back to Cletus' house. Cletus will tell you to ask other people near the cemetery. Head over there to the next mission.

Gil is between the bridge and Cletus' house, so if you need to buy some cars from him, you know where to go.

There are a few wasp cameras and a collector's card in Mr. Burns' mansion. One is up the stairs, another one is in the study, and two more are near the giant chessboard. There is a switch in the study which, should you trigger it, reveal a collector's card inside the study.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 9 of 22

...and now for the bonus mission and races for Level 3.

You'll find Principal Skinner somewhere near the Android's Dungeon area. Talk to him, and he will have Lisa run his errands. Why? I don't know...

Bonus Mission: Princi-Pal

Mission: Help Principal Skinner complete his errands before time runs out!

For this one, you'll have to drive to the laundromat in 40 seconds or less. Pick up the laundry, then drive to the Krusty Burger by The Android's Dungeon. When you get there, talk to the squeaky-voiced teen to get Skinner's dinner. Collect it, then get in the vehicle and head to Mr. Burns' Casino. Talk to Dr. Nick to get Skinner's anti-fungal cream. Collect it, then head to the Noiseland arcade to finish the mission, where Skinner proves to be useless. At least you'll unlock Skinner's sedan - which you drove for this whole mission - which is pretty average when it comes to stats (much like Moe's Sedan). Slightly more acceleration with a trade off on less handling.

As for the races, use the blue Malibu Stacy convertible. Be wary at the intersection in Nelson's race; you just might get hit by one of the racers and it just might cost you.

You can buy the Donut Truck (very low speed, low acceleration, average toughness and handling) and the Nerd Car (which has the same stats as the rest of the character-based sedans) from Gil at the docks. You can also buy the Book Burning Mobile, which has below average speed and acceleration, good toughness and average handling.

For Milhouse's race, be sure you're nice and straight on the ramp; otherwise, you're going to hit a wall, drop down and be forced to make up for lost time.

For Ralph's race, Marge's Canyonero will probably be the hardest opponent to deal with, since she has the potential for an early lead. You can take the crusher shortcut to save some time, as it isn't locked off like the game wants you to believe. However, unless you're ready to turn a bit to the right, you're going to crash into the race barrier every time.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 8 of 22

Level 3 is over already?

Before the next mission, get the "Cool" outfit from the outfit store either at The Android's Dungeon or at the observatory. You'll need it for a future mission.

At the observatory, go talk to Abe Simpson. He will tell you that Bart's red hat was seen falling out of a black car. Lisa will mention that she will need something big for what she is about to do...like a school bus.

Head over to Kamp Krusty, which is near the dam, and buy the school bus from Otto for 300 coins. The toughness is at five stars, but the rest of the stats leave something to be desired.

While you're at the camp, look around for level gags and wasp camera. The raging river will provide a cameo for Blinky the Three-Eyed Fish, and if you jump into the well, you will be teleported to another part of the level.

Once you get the school bus, you'll start Mission 4.

Mission 4: Operation Hellfish

Mission: Destroy the black sedans to find a clue. Don't let time run out!

Get in the school bus and drive to the observatory. Thankfully, you won't be on a time limit...yet. As you drive over there, you'll find Bart's red hat. Collect it, then chase down the black sedan with the red strobe light on the roof that passes by and destroy it by either smashing right into it at a high speed or by sending it into walls and other obstacles. When you get that done, drive to the Aztec Theatre. Take your time to grab a wrench at this point, since you won't be on a time limit until you find the next black sedan near the Aztec Theater. After destroying that black sedan, head to Planet Hype. Once again, you won't be on a time limit until you trigger the next black sedan.

When you succeed and fail at the same time... (Be careful if you run into those things, they can wreak major damage on your vehicle.)

After you destroy the third sedan, you'll find Chief Wiggum nearby. Talk to him, and he will tell you that he is looking to lock Snake up on the "three strikes" law. Lisa will ask if Wiggum will need a disguise, and Chief Wiggum will say that this is a good idea. Unfortunately, you'll have to get one of your own.

If you haven't already gotten the "Lisa - Cool" outfit, go get the coins and then head to either The Android's Dungeon or the observatory and buy it. When you get it, head back to where Chief Wiggum is and enter the police car to start Mission 5.

Mission 5: Slithery Sleuthing

Mission: Follow Snake and find "three strikes" of evidence against him. Don't miss any items!

Looks like Lisa is doing the police department's job for them.

As soon as the mission begins, be ready to chase after Snake in his red convertible. As you stay on his tail, he will drop items. Make sure he doesn't go far enough so that the green gauge in the upper-left corner empties, then drive back to Mr. Burns' Casino when you pick up all three times. You'll only have a minute to get there.

Also, the police car is pretty fast. When you get to the ramp, Chief Wiggum will tell you he has seen mysterious government types near the docks and that they might have sent Bart on a cruise.

Get a vehicle and head over to Captain McAllister's Chum 'n Stuff at the docks. Talk to the Sea Captain, and you'll be able to trigger Mission 6.

On the way there, be sure to head to Barney's Bowl-A-Rama. You'll find a collector card as well as a wasp camera over there.

Mission 6: Fishy Deals

Mission: Save the Sea Captain's fish. Collect all the fish before time runs out!

For this mission, you'll have to get a shipment of live mackerel to the Squidport restaurant. Do that, and the Sea Captain will help you find Bart.

Get in your vehicle, then start collecting all the fish around the docks. Be sure to use the map to figure out where the nearest fish it, and drive carefully, especially at the docks, because you've only got two minutes to do this in. The path will start at where you meet the Sea Captain and end at the makeshift ramp where the highway is in disrepair.

Thankfully, you won't have to worry about a time limit on the way back to where you met the Sea Captain, so if you want, you can check the wooden platforms near the edge of the docks for a wasp camera, a collector card and a shortcut back up the bridge that leads to another wasp camera.

When you head back to the Sea Captain, you'll get another mission. Before you do it, though, check the lighthouse for a wasp camera  and the collector card at the top. You can double jump off the top of the lighthouse to get on the ship, where you can find a collector card as well as three more wasp camera. That's not all, though: if you jump around where the huge shipping containers are at, you'll find Knightboat, The Crime Solving Boat - the secret vehicle for Level 3 - as well as the level gag involving the crate of hot pants.

You'l also find Gil and Milhouse near one of the entrances to the docks, and the beach will be home to another wasp camera.

Mission 7: The Old Pirate and the Sea

Mission: Destroy the black limo to find Bart. Don't let time run out!

When you talk to the Sea Camera again, he will thank you for delivering the fish before telling you that Bart was in a limousine...which then passes by as he talks about it!

When you get in your vehicle, the black limo will show up. You're better off using the school bus to tear into it, but you can defeat it with smaller, less tougher by getting up to the side and leading the limousine into walls as much as possible.

Once you destroy the limousine - which Bart was supposedly in - head back to the Sea Captain. He will tell you that Bart was not in the limo, and that he was able to get in the boat. Since the Sea Captain won't be able to take you to the boat due to hating the sea - even though he is a sea captain - you'll have to get on board the C-Spanker yourself. There is a shortcut into the boat near the Sea Captain; all you have to do is take a nearby road not on the map, hit the ramp and drive straight into the "Globex" sign on the side of the ship. You'll crash through the sign and go straight into the ship, and all you'll have to do now is find Bart and talk to him in the next two minutes. Thankfully, he won't be far once you get onto the top of the ship.

When you talk to Bart, he will say nothing but gibberish, save for a few words. Lisa will take Bart home, ending Level 3.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 7 of 22

In this episode, we play as Lisa, who is on a mission to look for Bart after his sudden disappearance at the hands of a UFO.

Level 3

In this level, you'll be playing as Lisa, who is on a mission to find out information on what happened to Bart as well as his whereabouts.

You'll start off near The Android's Dungeon, the cards and comic shop in Springfield that is run by Comic Book Guy. Across from the building is the "El Barto" dumpster that acts as a level gag, and on the rooftop, you can find a wasp camera as well as a collector card.

Inside the comic book shop is not only Comic Book Guy, whom you will need to talk to, but also the ticket to the unreleased Itchy & Scratchy cartoon "500 Yard Bash." This is an unlockable that lets you see this 3D-rendered Itchy & Scratchy cartoon, and the only way to get it is to find all of the collector cards in the game. When Comic Book Guy says he wants a complete set of collector cards, he means it. XD

You can also find a few level gags here as well as buy some Lisa costumes here. One of them involves the Radioactive Man cut-out, but you'll trigger the first mission if you try to activate it.

The first mission has Lisa asking Comic Book Guy about Bart's whereabouts. Comic Book Guy says he will only help Lisa if she can somehow find the controversial issue of the Itchy & Scratchy Adventures comic book where Itchy & Scratchy kiss.

Mission 1: Nerd Race Queen

Mission: Race the Nerd to the Itchy & Scratchy store. Get the comic back before time runs out!

Yep, you're racing against that Nerd again.

There are a few shortcuts you an take that involve the stairway as well as the ramp that takes you through the neon sign of Mr. Burns as a mermaid that will take you straight to the docks and right up to the finish line. Once you make it there, drive towards the comic book and pick it up, since you won't grab it automatically when you reach the finish line. After that, you will have 90 seconds before the comic book deteriorates into near-mint condition.

Once you make it back, Comic Book Guy will tell you that Bart was last seen at the Noiseland arcade.

The blue convertible is the Malibu Stacy Car. It happens to be very fast and can take corners pretty well. You're probably going to use it most of the time in this level.

If you find Wall E. Weasel's, head there and trigger the ball drop level to find a level gag.

You'll eventually find Milhouse at the Noiseland arcade. Milhouse says he has not seen Bart, then mentions he may be at Wall E. Weasel's.

Mission 2: Clueless

Mission: Follow Milhouse's clues to find Bart. Don't let time run out!

The first place is Wall E. Weasel's, which you probably found already for the ball pit gag. Talk to Milhouse. He will tell you that Bart is at Planet Hype. which si at the docks. You'll find Milhouse again. Milhouse says that Bart may be at the Springfield sign. Be careful as you drive through the docks so you don't fill up the Hit and Run Meter. You'll find Milhouse yet again, and he will admit it was all a ruse to ask her out for the dance. Lisa will decide to head to the Kwik-E-Mart and ask Apu if he has seen him.

If you get on top of Planet Hype, you can find a wasp camera nearby.

The Krustylu Studios has a wasp camera as well as several boxes, including four in an alcove with two vending machines. This is a great place to grind for coins, assuming you only kick all of the boxes and both of the vending machines twice and let them "refill" by reloading one of the missions over and over.

Near the observatory is the Off-Ramp Inn. You'll find a wasp camera as well as the wager race here.

Head to the Krusty Burger by The Android's Dungeon and talk to Apu. You'll trigger the third mission, where Apu mentions that a very bad man (read: Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel) is sending roadkill to all the Krusty Burgers. Since Bart helped Cletus out in Level 2, it makes a bit of sense that Lisa helps Apu out in Level 3.

Mission 3: Bonfire of the Manatees

Mission: Help Apu defeat the meat-eaters. Hit & collect meat from Cletus' truck before time runs out!

You have two minutes to hit Celtus frequently so that the roadkill (or "flatmeat," as Cletus calls it) drops. As long as you ride Cletus' ass (figuratively, of course), this isn't too hard. After you collect fifteen pieces of roadkill, Apu will tell Lisa to ask Professor Frink about Bart. Head to the observatory and talk to Professor Frink, and don't forget to look around the observatory before doing so to find a wasp camera. You can also buy alternate costumes and trigger a few level gags when you're inside.

When you talk to Frink, he mentions that Bart disappeared in a bright light.

asdf

At one point on the map, you'll find Abraham Simpson. If you talk to him, you'll trigger a bonus mission where Grampa Abe will need some blood after going a bit nonsensical from giving his blood away.

Bonus Mission: Dial B For Blood

Mission: Collect the blood for Grampa.

This mission goes exactly like the fireworks mission.

Near the start, you'll find a bag of blood. Pick it up, then head to Moe's and goes in. Talk to Moe, then get the bag of blood that shows up afterwards. Next, head to the construction site near the Krusty Burger. Talk to the squeaky-voiced teen to get another bag of blood, then get back in your vehicle and head back to Abe. You'll get Abraham's World War II vehicle as a reward for completing this. The spped and acceleration are okay, the handling is average and the toughness is all right.

For the races, you'll want to use the Honor Roller and you'll want to make sure that you race as well as possible right out of the gate to ensure that you place first in each one. Making sure you speed past Lisa in her Malibu Stacy car also helps.

If you go to the Mission Select menu and select the third mission, you can warp to Milhouse for one of the races. As for Nelson and Ralph, they are very close to each other on the map. For beating all three of the normal races, you'll get Moe's Sedan. It has okay speed and acceleration, average toughness and good handling.

Gil will be selling the Limo (which has below average speed and acelleration, average handling and decent toughness) and the Fire Truck (which has great toughness but poor acceleration and handling that do not make up for its average speed) for 150 and 250 Coins, respectively.

The collector cards for Level 2 are as follows:

Head of Jebediah: The head of the Jebediah Springfield statue, which was cut off by Bart in the first season.

AM Radio Toy: The microphone that drops down the well to trick everyone into thinking that a child is trapped down there.

Bonestorm Game: The video game Bart wanted really, really badly.

"Big Butt Skinner": The weather balloon that Bart vandalized so it looked like Principal Skinner.

Mr. Honeybunny: Bart's childhood stuffed toy.

Driver's License: The fake license Bart used to take Milhouse, Nelson and Martin on a road trip to Nashville.

Pregnancy Test: The official Krusty Home Pregnancy Test, which Bart uses to prove he is a bigger Krusty fan than Lisa.

Mission 2's start point is the closest one to the wager race.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 5 of 22

It didn't take long to complete all the missions in Level 2.

When you talk to Professor Frink at the stadium, he will tell you that he needs the power of video game violence to power his new invention/monster. He tells Bart that if he brings him a World War II-era communication radio and satellite, then it will live and they can enjoy some real violence. Bart loves the idea, and realizes that Herman, the guy who sells grenades to Nelson, would have a radio.

Mission 4: Bart 'n Frink

Mission: Go to Herman's Military Antiques to find a World War II radio for Professor Frink.

Get in your vehicle and follow the black pizza van/surveillance vehicle to Herman's Military Antiques. Once again, you're on a tailing mission, so you want to fill that green gauge up and stay on the tail of that pizza van. Eventually, you'll reach the end, where you'll talk to Chief Wiggum, who tells you that Herman's been robbed. Strangely, when you got here, you could see Snake's car drive off, so use the map to go look for Snake. Snake wants the radio to score some points with the ladies, and Bart proposes racing for the radio.

This leads to a race between Snake and Bart for the Radio. Snake's car has very high speed, so your best bet it to take the lead early and try to drive as well as you can to keep it. When you win, take the radio to complete the mission. Bart then thinks about who would have a satellite dish, then narrows it down to one person: Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel.

For the next mission, drive to the Kursty Burger by the construction site. You'll meet Cletus there. Cletus will let him have the satellite dish if he helps him scoop up some roadkill...or as Cletus calls it, "flatmeat."

Mission 5: Better Than Beef

Mission: Collect the flatmeat before time runs out! Avoid Apu!

In this mission, you'll be driving around town, picking up the roadkill that is in the path in about 80 seconds. The hardest one to grab is in the railroad yard behind the train car that moves back and forth.

When you get all of the roadkill, your next objective is to get to the Krusty Burger to deliver the flatmeat. This is the part where you will have to avoid Apu. If you drive through the park and into the hospital, you can get a big lead on him as he starts in a rather awkward position when you meet him. Once you manage to lose Apu, head back to the Krusty Burger. You'll be able to collect the satellite dash for your reward, so grab it and head back to the stadium to talk to Frink. He will ask you to bring him a blender to complete the Truckasaurus that he is buidling. Bart immediately gets the idea to find Dr. Nick and ask to borrow his blender.

Drive to the Screaming Monkey Medical Research Center. Talk to Dr. Nick, and he will ask you to catch his escaped monkeys. In order to carry them all, however, you will have to find Homer in the hospital parking lot and by the Mr. Plow from him for 200 coins. The Mr. Plow truck has okay speed, acceleration and handling, but the toughness is pretty good.

Mission 5: Monkey See Monkey D'oh

Mission: Collect the monkey before time runs out! Then get the blender from Dr. Nick.

For this one, you'll be collecting thirty monkeys in four minutes.

Get in Mr. Plow, then the challenge will begin. Use the map to figure out where all the monkeys are, then get to them as quickly as possible. Thankfully, the truck is more than capable once you get used to it. You'll also find a collectible card and a wasp camera on a rooftop near a few of the monkeys

When you get back to Dr. Nick, you'll be able to pick up the blender. Once you grab it, get back to the stadium and talk to Frink again. He will tell you that too many people are using cellphones, and you will have to put a stop to that so the interference won't cause the Truckasaurus to malfunction.

Mission 6: Cell-Outs

Mission: Destroy all the cell phone users' cars before time runs out!

Get back into the Mr. Plow. The car you need to destroy is marked in red, but will also have a red marker above it as well. Thankfully, these cars are pretty weak, and you don't necessarily need Mr. Plow to destroy them...but it helps. Use any opportunity to ram the vehicles from the front that you can.

Thankfully, you'll get extra time with every car you destroy. Also, there will be a couple of wrenches in the general area where the cellphone users are.

After taking out enough drivers, head back to the stadium and talk to Frink. You'll complete the mission, and you'll finally be able to see the Truckasaurus in action. Unfortunately, when Bart leaves the stadium, he is soon abducted by a UFO!

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 4 of 22

With everything in Level 1 out of the way, it's time to take on Level 2!

The Level 1 collector cards are as follows:

Home Made Football: The football Homer abandoned to work on the magic bat.

Crab Juice: The drink Homer chooses over soda.

Insanity Pepper: The pepper Homer eats as fuel for the journey to find his soul mate.

Spinemelter 2000: The dream cliner Homer got from his long-lost Brother Herb before driving his automobile brand out of business.

Parchment: The sacred parchment of the Stonecutters that Homer used as a bib and hanky.

Carbon Rod: The carbon rod that beat out Homer to become employee of the month.

Mr. Sparkle Box: The mascot for a Japanese cleaning project that was really a combination of a light bulb and a fish.

Level 2

With that out of the way, it's time for the next level, where you play as Bart in a different area of Springfield.

Talk to Milhouse to start the mission. Be sure to jump up the Jebediah Sprinfield head to reach a collector card, and don't forget to kick the head off. The nearby catapult is a level gag, and the Honor Roller will also be here. The Honor Roller has below average speed, acceleration and toughness, but it has perfect handling and is slightly faster than the Family Sedan - the trademark Simpsons car - from Level 1. You'll be using it for most, if not all, of the missions in this level.

If a building has steps, chances are there will probably be a wasp camera there.

When you talk to Milhouse, you'll find out that Principal Skinner is looking for everyone who skipped school and expelling them.

Mission 1: Detention Deficit Disorder

Mission: Avoid Principal Skinner! Driver to the Try-N-Save before time runs out!

Why does Principal Skinner look so glum in these mission briefings?

Get in the Honor Roller and get to the Try-N-Save in one minute. On the way there, you'll come in contact with Principal Skinner, who wants to catch Bart and expel him from school. This is the first of the "stay away from this person" missions, in which there is a gauge with a bed bar in it on the upper-left corner. You want this gauge to be completely empty, as this means that you got away from the person in question. Thankfully, with the use of some shortcuts, avoiding Skinner is easy. When you make it to the Try-N-Save, talk to Jimbo. He will brag about getting the last copy of the new Bonestorm game for next to nothing after "a crazy lady destroyed all the rest."

Across from the Try-N-Save is a level gag. The little red car at the Try-N-Save is another level gag.

The Department of Motor Vehicles is home to one of the level gags in the game (the camera and Hans Moleman), and you can also buy alternate outfits for Bart here.

To start the second mission, drive to Herman's Military Antiques and talk to Kearney. He will tell you that illegal fireworks are all the rage now, which gives Bart the idea of jumping in on this dangerous trend.

Mission 2: Weapons of Mass Delinquency

Mission: Collect fireworks from around Springfield before time runs out! Avoid Chief Wiggum!

Get into a vehicle and drive to Moe's. When you get there, the timer will stop. Talk to Otto and collect the fireworks, then talk to Moe inside Moe's Tavern and collect the fireworks that show up there. The slot machine, the mugs of Flaming Homer on the bar and the Love Tester are all level gags. From here, quickly get to Springfield Town Hall. Talk to Snake when you get there for even more fireworks to pick up, then quickly drive to the police station and talk to Ralph for even more fireworks to collect. Ralph will tell you that his father Chief Wiggum will put you in jail. Get in your vehicle, then hit the freeway and speed across the gap that is under construction to lose Chief Wiggum and complete the mission. From here, drive to the Googolplex and talk to Comic Book Guy. This starts the next mission.

One of the collector cards in on a roof with a stairway leading up. Over here is two wasp cameras as well as the "Springfield Elementary Milk" level gag. There is also a wasp camera near a downed power line, complete with crackling electricity.

The Fat Tony's Construction cement truck is also a level gag.

The gold dumpster with "El Barto" is a level gag. Also nearby - in different directions - are a wasp camera and a collector card.

The failed monorail is near the Googolplex, and it is the hidden vehicle for Level 2. While it has great toughness, it does not have good speed or handling. Nearby is another building where you can find two wasp cameras on the rooftop.

Gil is in the Googolplex area as well, and you can buy some of the cars from him.

Mission 3: Vox Nerduli

Mission: Race the Nerd to the Java Server.

In this mission, you'll be driving Comic Book Guy's car to the Java Server and racing against the Nerd to get there first. When you make it there first, Comic Book Guy will tell you that the new Bonestorm game has sold out and that Professor Frink has bought up all of the remaining copies.

From here, drive to the stadium to start the next mission. Talk to Professor Frink when you get there.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 3 of 22

In this video, SlimKirby shows off all the races you can do in a level as he completely takes care of business in Level 1.

We're back in Level 1 for this video, and in this video, SlimKirby grinds for more coins for future levels in the game and also takes care of some more things to complete the level.

Not only is there a lot of coins on top of the bridge, but you can also find a wasp camera or two here. After a certain amount of time doing things in the game, the wasps will fire at you. If you get hit by their projectiles.

Near the bridge is Gil Gunderson, the most unsuccessful, unlucky businessman in all of Springfield. You can buy more vehicles from him such as the Duff Truck, which has high toughness at the expense of all the other stats, and the Surveillance Van, which has good handling and toughness and below-average speed and acceleration.

At the trailer park, you'll be able to talk to Cletus to get the bonus mission. Cletus will ask you to go find some cardboard tubes for some indoor plumbing as well as knock down the tomacco plants so that the kids can clean them up for market. In return, Cletus can get his chores down and get his muskrat pie for dinner, and Homer will be able to use Cletus' truck.

Bonus Mission: This Old Shanty

Mission: Find cardboard tubes and collect the tomacco harvest for Cletus in under 2:30.

To get the cardboard tubes, you'll have to drive around and use the map to find where they are. The faster you find all five, you'll be able to knock down the tomacco plants.

The tomacco plant field will be near the power plant, and you'll have to pass through the trailer park to get there a little more quickly. To make this more quickly, drive through the field and pick up tomacco plants until you nearly fill up for Hit And Run Meter, then collect the rest of the tomacco on foot. From there, return to Cletus, and you'll unlock Cletus' Pickup Truck. The truck has lousy speed and acceleration, but it has good toughness and handling. You'll also have Cletus' driving with your character riding shotgun while chicken feathers fly out of the truck bed.

You'll also find Milhouse, Ralph and Nelson throughout the levels, and they will be in charge of the three racing challenges run by Patty and Selma from the DMV in every level. Milhouse will run a time trial in which you have to hit all the checkpoints while completing a certain amount of laps in a specific amount of time. Nelson runs the circuit races, where you race against other people a la Super Mario Kart minus the items for a few laps in an attempt to finish in first place. Ralph runs the checkpoint races, where you go from point A to point B, hitting all the checkpoints in the meantime and making sure that you get to the end before all of the opponents do.

Milhouse, Ralph and Nelson have their own distinct countdowns before each race that you will have to get used to, and those countdowns will differ between levels.

When you beat all the street races, you'll unlock the Electaurus. The speed, acceleration and toughness are about average, but the car handles corners very well.

The wager race allows you to bet money, and if you win, you can effectively get more money than you put in. If you lose, you lose the entry fee and get nothing. For this race, you have to complete an entire lap throughout the level in a specific amount of time. Before each wager race, you'll learn how much time you have as well as how difficult the race will generally be. Learning where the shortcuts in the level are will definitely help out in the long run and allow you to win the wager races with plenty of time to spare.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 2 of 22

In this episode, SlimKirby slams the book shut on Level 1's missions, but there's still plenty to do there before heading on to Level 2.

From this point, head back into the Simpson residence and talk to Marge. Marge will tell Homer that he is late for work, and that today is his workplace evaluation. Homer, fearing the worst for the scorpion farm that he has near his workplace in the nuclear power plant, has to find Lenny.

Get in a vehicle, then head to the Krusty Burger by the cemetery. You'll find Lenny there. He'll tell you that Mr. Burns is at the Kwik-E-Mart right now. Homer, knowing that this gives him some time to find something powerful enough to take Burns out, wonders if Barney still has the Plow King.

Barney will be at the gas station, and you'll have to buy it from him for 150 coins. After this, you'll be able to drive the Plow King in order to complete the mission. Thankfully, the gas station isn't too far, and a drunk Barney is more than willing to give it to him, provided he has the cash.

Mission 3: Office Spaced

Mission: Destroy Smithers' car before he gets to the power plant.

Now that you have the Plow King, you can drive it. Take it to the Kwik-E-Mart in the next 90 seconds (use the cemetery shortcut). When you make it there, Smithers' vehicle - a limousine - will show up, and you'll have to destroy Smithers' vehicle to get to the power plant.

The Plow King is pretty heavy, so it will have slow acceleration. It has good durability, but you're better off not hitting anything that isn't another vehicle as this thing can still fall apart after enough abuse.

There will be a bar in the upper-left corner of the screen when you see Smithers. A red bar will fill up as you crash into Smithers' vehicle and send it into obstacles like walls to do damage indirectly, and when it fills up, Smithers' vehicle will explode and you'll be done with him.

It is possible to get Smithers trapped somewhere and have him destroy himself by running into walls and trees. I wouldn't recommend counting on it, though.

After you defeat Smithers, you can drive to the power plant. From there, head to Homer's workstation. There is a level gag just outside the entrance; thankfully, you'll have the time to trigger it. Get to Homer's workspace, and Homer will not only save his scorpion farm, but he will also get the idea to destroy all the power couplings powering the security cameras in the power plant so that he can take a nap without the security camera catching him..

Now that you have more than one vehicle to use at any time, you can use the pay phone to see the speed, acceleration, toughness and handling of your vehicles. Speed dictates how fast the vehicle can go; acceleration dictates how quickly the vehicle will get to top speed; toughness indicates how easily it will be battered about before finally blowing up; handling dictates how well the vehicle will take corners.

Mission 4: Blind Big Brother

Mission: Destroy all the power couplings before time runs out!

There is a level gag at Homer's workstation, and this one will more than likely be the last level gag you find. If not, consult the map and look for blue sparkles.

The orange boxes that rock back and forth are the power couplings, and there are nine in all. Use the switches near the door to Homer's workstation to work the elevators that take you to the upper level. With some simple platforming, you will not only find a collector card above three ceiling fans; you'll also be able to destroy all the couplings. When you destroy them all, you'll be able to get back to Homer's workstation so that he can sleep on the job. When you do that, however, the work day will be over. Head back to the Simpson residence for the next mission.

Strangely, you can drive around in the power plant, and in one part of the power plant, you'll find the Stonecutters' Tunnel. Here, you can find two wasp cameras as well as a collector card.

You can also find a collector card behind a house on the circular drive near the power plant.

When you go to the Simpson house and sit on the sofa, you'll find out that surveillance cameras in the form of the wasp cameras are situated throughout town, and that strange black vans are are being seen throughout town. One black van is seen near the Simpson residence, and Homer decides to follow it.

Mission 5: Flowers By Irene

Mission: Investigate and follow the black van. Don't let it get away!

If you couldn't tell by the mission name: FBI.

Get in a vehicle, then follow the black van near the Simpson residence. There will be a green bar in the upper-right, and the more you fill it up, the closer to the target vehicle you are. You will want to drive well in order to keep the black van as close to you as possible. Do not let the green gauge empty, or else you'll have to restart the mission due to letting the target vehicle go too far.

You'll eventually chase the black van into the power plant and to Mr. Burns' mansion. Homer will come to the conclusion that Mr. Burns is behind this. Head to the grocery store and talk to Marge, who will tell you that a new violent video game has hit the streets, and she wants it destroyed because low-hanging fruit logic on video games that really needs to die in real life. *sigh*

The rocket car can be found somewhere in the level in plain sight, and while it is very fast, it does not take corners very well. It is the vehicle that is unique to this level, and with some practice, you can do some pretty nifty things with it.

Mission 6: Bonestorm Storm

Mission: Hit the delivery truck and collect the Bonestorm games before time runs out!

Unfortunately, we have to do this mission. You'll be in the Canyonero, and Marge will be driving. The delivery car will be near you at the start. Follow it around, and hit it so that it drops a crate of Bonestorm games. The game will give you an "Item dropped!" prompt when you succeed at doing this.

You'll only have three minutes to do this ten times and collect all ten crates, so be careful with your aggressive driving skills. When you manage to pull this off, drive to the Simpson residence to end the mission. Head to the power plant. From there, talk to Carl. Carl will mention he is drunk when Homer tells him what is going on, and Homer comes to the realization that he will have to race Smithers...again.

There is one more collector card on top of one of the trailers in the trailer park.

Mission 7: The Fat and Furious

Mission: Beat Smithers to Mr. Burns' mansion.

If you park your vehicle so that half is inside the power plant entrance, you'll be able to block Smithers in. If you did it right, you'll be able to glitch through a doorway that is blocked for this mission and beat Smithers by a country mile and skip part of the race. Otherwise, you'll have to race Smithers the hard way.

When Homer confronts Mr. Burns about the black vans, he reveals that they vans are pizza vans. Also, Homer is fired from his job at the power plant. With that, Level 1 comes to an end.

SlimKirby plays The Simpsons: Hit and Run - Part 1 of 22

In the summer of 2007, one man made a webcam Let's Play of The Simpsons: Hit and Run. All the videos scored four-digit view counts, with the first scoring over 35,000. He became a video game star.

In the summer of 2009, he played it again, this time with a capture device. The first video - and the rest of the project - would out-perform the original, with the first video scoring 60,000 views in almost two months and over four million views in almost a decade.

In the summer of 2018, after a 24-hour anniversary stream from the previous year that involved a playthrough of the game - which did not go so well - he played it again due to popular demand, this time with a much better set-up than in 2009, and this time around, he cleared it 100%.

That man is SlimKirby. This is that 100% Let's Play. Let's watch it, shall we?

This Let's Play is played with the Nintendo GameCube version, but this game is also on PC, Microsoft XBox and Sony PlayStation 2.

The game begins with a flying camera of alien origin entering the Simpson residence through a open window in the living room. At the game's main menu, we find out that this is a wasp-shaped camera, and when a new game is started, Homer finds out that there are gold coins floating where the now-broken wasp camera is. As he looks at one, Krusty endorses a new cola: Buzz Cola, made from the finest sugars and waters and contains an ingredient "too hot for the FDA." Homer, obviously wanting Buzz Cola, leaves the house to get some Buzz Cola.

Level 1

When you begin the game, there is a tutorial, but you can skip it if you wish to. For those wondering: this game is basically Grand Theft Auto: Springfield. You can move around on foot, which allows you to jump around and attack. You can also interact with things in the game that have blue sparkles around them. Those are the level gags, and you actually get percentage points towards level progress as well as the game's completion if you find and activate them. The gags are references to things that happened in the TV show throughout the years, and fans will not only get a kick out of finding them, but also remember where in the heck they're from. Given that the game was released in 2003, that leaves the game's first thirteen seasons (give or take) to work with. Some of them are in the back yard of the Simpsons house as well as Ned Flander's house (the bomb shelter), so check those out.

The coins that you find throughout the game are the game's currency, and you can use them to buy unlockables such as vehicles and character outfits. You'll have to spend money on things throughout the game to complete some of the game's missions, and you'll definitely have to do it to fully complete the game.

There are seven collectible cards in every level. Most of these will have to be found on foot and usually involve some on-foot platforming, and all of them make reference to something in the show's history.

The Buzz Cola boxes can be kicked up to three times to get boxes, and after a third kick or attack, the box will break and will never re-spawn. If you kick them twice, collect all the coins, leave them alone, and then go to another level and come back, the boxes get their "hit points" restored and you can kick them twice again for more coins. This is why destroying boxes when you see them doesn't work; it makes it much harder to get coins for much-needed or much-wanted unlockables down the line.

If you see a wasp camera pop up, you can jump up and attack it to destroy it and get a bunch of coins. Wasp cameras are also a part of level progress as well as full game completion, so smash them to pieces when you see them!

At the start of the level (and the game), you'll have to talk to Marge outside of the Simpson house. She will tell you that everyone has eaten every dessert in the house and that Homer will have to go buy some of the ice cream with the miniature pies in it.

Tutorial Mission: The Cola Caper

Mission: Go to the Kwik-E-Mart and purchase some ice cream and cola.

Get in your vehicle, then head to the Kwik-E-Mart. As you drive around during missions as well as races, you will always have to deal with traffic, so do your best now to ram into things at high speed. The map on the lower-right will always guide you to where you need to go in the form of a light beacon and a blue dot, with the blue dot being your destination. You'll also see green arrows on the ground guiding you in the direction you need to drive. You want to be careful with missions, as some of them will have a time limit. Thankfully, this one doesn't. When you see a light blue circle on the ground, get there. That's your destination. When you reach the Kwik-E-Mart, go in.

The map on the lower-right corner serves two functions: the map of the immediate area as well as the Hit and Run Meter. As you hit people and objects with your car, the gauge fills up and turns yellow in a clockwise direction. It flashes red when you get close to filling it up, and when you do fill it up, you enter Hit and Run Mode. Here, you'll be chased by the police, and if you get caught by them, you'll have to fork over 50 coins in order and you'll be out of Hit and Run Mode. If you manage to get away from the police, it will eventually end. The gauge will slowly go back down as long as you don't commit any acts of vandalism.

The vending machines work just like the Buzz Cola boxes: kick them three times for coins and they'll be destroyed. Give them two kicks and leave them for later so you can get more coins.

When you enter the Kwik-E-Mart, talk to Apu. You'll be able to collect the ice cream and cola and complete the mission.

There are some level gags in the Kwik-E-Mart, including Frostillicus the viking, the slushie machine, the lottery machine, the silent alarm, the ATM machine and the Larry the Looter arcade machine.

There is a spot where you can buy unlockable outfits for Homer in the corner of the Kwik-E-Mart. Just like the level gags, wasp cameras and collectible cards, these count towards game completion.

There is a wasp camera on the roof of the Kwik-E-Mart, which also has grass, trees and a few plants. There is also one above the gas pumps at the nearby gas station.

The steam from air conditioning vents can be used to leap to areas that you could not normally access.

The wrench will fully repair your current vehicle when picked up.

When you have the ice cream and cola, go back to the Simpson residence and talk to Marge. She will tell you that Lisa left home without her science project, and that you will have to get it to her on the way to work.

Mission 1: S-M-R-T

Mission: Race Principal Skinner to the school and give Lisa her science project.

Collect the science project, then get in your car. You can either get into the car manually, or you can go to a pay phone booth, pick the car you want to drive, and it will be there when you get out of the car selection menu. You can also randomly take another vehicle out on the streets, but the person behind the wheel will be the one driving, not Homer.

From here, drive to the school. As you do, you'll eventually see a yellow car. That is Skinner, and you will have to make it to the school before he does. You can also see who's in front on the upper-left corner of the screen. Thankfully, there are some shortcuts that divert a bit from the main road on the radar that you can utilize, and some of them involve the glass Krusty Burger billboards.

When you make it to Springfield Elementary first, you'll be able to go in. From here, head to the right and talk to Lisa to end the mission. She will tell you that Marge called and that she needs to talk to you before you go to work...even though you're on the way to work. (D'oh!)

There are some level gags that you activate in the school, so don't forget those. Also, check the playground area and the school grounds for wasp cameras. There's even one on the roof.

If you see a pair of red dice over a guy in a three-piece suit, this is an underground street race where you can gamble coins for a bigger payout...assuming you win, of course. These races go across the world map and are longer than the usual street races.

The usual street races are signified by somebody with two crossed checkered flags above somebody's head. The three races are run by Ralph, Nelson and Milhouse, so if you see them, you've found the street races that count towards game completion. Unlike the underground one, you don't race for money, but you also complete a little bit of the level if you place first in the end.

From here, head back to the Simpson residence and talk to Marge. This time, you'll have to enter the house to talk to her. This time, she will ask you to talk to Ned Flanders.

There are also level gags in the house, too, so don't forget to trigger those.

Near the Simpson residence will be the Flanders residence, and Ned will be right outside. He will tell you that some of his things have gone missing and that he has called the police to get to the bottom of things. The thing is, Homer borrowed everything - including Ned's inhaler (why?) - and now he has to get it all back.

Mission 2: Petty Theft Homer

Mission: Collect all six of Ned's "lost" items before time runs out!

Not only does the game make a wink and a nod to the game it gets its inspiration but, but it also gives you the first timed mission!

Get in a vehicle. From here, you 'll be driving around town looking for Ned's "lost" items, and you'll only have so much time - indicated in the upper-left corner - to complete all the tasks. The items you need to collect will be flashing yellow. At one point, you'll have to talk to Barney to find one of these items, which happens to be Ned Flanders' cooler...which Barney is using as a toilet. (Why?) Also, another thing to pick up is the Flanders family portrait (why?), and Rod Flanders' inhaler will be above the Duff truck at the Kwik-E-Mart. (I have so many questions about this.)

If your current vehicle is smoking, that means it has taken some serious damage. When that happens, find a wrench. You'll repair that damage in no time. If a vehicle is 100% damaged, the vehicle explodes and Homer will be forced out of it.

When you collect all of Ned Flanders' things, get back to him quickly to end the mission.
