HCBailly plays Faxanadu - Part 6 of 9

In this episode, we explore the world around the strangely-named town of Victim.

Victim

In the house next to the doctor, you will learn that there is a magic hall outside of town.

The dried meat here costs 250 Golds.

There are some new keys here. There are King (K) Keys that are slightly more expensive, and you'll be needing at least three of them.

At the tool shop, the Full Plate armor is the next step up from what you've got now, as it gives 25% protection from attacks.. Go get it and equip it outside.

At the bar, the smoking man will tell you that the door to the capital below is open.

Road From Victim

The squid enemies move back and forth and take quite a few strikes from the Long Sword to beat up. It's worth it for the bread, though.

The tentacle-like enemies with the single eye move slowly and also drop bread.

The bees fly at you in groups of three.

Dropping down from the exit from Victim and making your way to the right, following the path as you go, takes you to an old man who will teach you Fire for 3000 Golds. Fire deals four times more damage than Deluge and uses almost as much MP. This is one spell you will definitely want to get and equip. Not only does it work wonders against enemies, but it pushes normal enemies all the way back and goes through the ones that don't survive.

If you go two screens left from where you learned Fire and go up the ladder up top, you'll head to a Useless Tower. Inside are a few enemies and a Red Potion. That's it. There is absolutely no reason to go there and use a King Key to go inside. Instead, go one screen left, work your way up and head left from there.

The blue man who beats on a drum should be taken out as soon as possible, as he casts a thunder spell that will hit you anywhere on the screen no matter what. The nearby house will contain a man who will will help you out if go inside the Tower of Mist up ahead, beat the Dwarf inside, get the meteorite piece and bring it back to him.

The blue guy with the bald head can jump high in the air and hover for a bit, and he can also make some long jumps, too
