crabbyRhys plays Rex Ronan: Experimental Surgeon - Part 3 of 4

The Heart is the hardest part of the game if you don't know what to do.

The Arteries

The arteries are blocked by yellow plaque. The artery walls are very damaged. Jake's condition is unstable. Remove the plaque quickly.

Guess what? This is another Mode 7 section. Find the big holes in the yellow plaque walls and watch out for those yellow, hairy-looking blood cell-looking things. Keep dodging, and keep your finger on the trigger. Thankfully, this area is mercifully short.

The Heart

Plaque in area. A deadly blood clot is forming in the coronary artery - Danger of heart attack. Remove blood clots and plaque before it's too late.

You'll start in the middle of the area this time. Be ready to shoot down everything when you teleport into the area, then head to the right. At this point, you'll find out that the scrolling in this game sucks, and when you go in one direction far enough, you'll have to wait for the camera to slowly center itself so that Rex Ronan is close to being back on the center of the screen. Even by 1994 standards, this is really awful.

The best advice for fighting enemies here is to always be lower that the enemy you're trying to attack. That way, you won't be shot continuously by microbots.

When you go all the way to the right, turn around and head to the left.

The white foggy stuff is the plaque. You obviously want to take it out with the flamethrower. The flashing fog is a blood clot. If you go too far, you'll get a message saying "Artery Blocked! Heart Attack Alert!" If that happens, you lose a life within seconds unless you can clear some of the clot. You must destroy the blood clot with the flamethrower in order to get rid of it, and you must get rid of it piece by piece until there is nothing left. Be careful...the blood clot can slowly regenerate.

False statements:
It is easy to quit smoking if you are young. (It's never easy.)
