PrinceWatercress plays Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament - Part 2 of 20

The float board stages are back and they're more difficult than ever. Good luck getting all the Dream Stones from those!

Vision 1-4

Guess what? The float board stages are back...and they're now in a rear-view perspective similar to Space Harrier. Even better, you don't exactly stop on a dime when you stop moving left or right, either! Wonderful!

When you enter this stage for the first time, Nagapoko will give you a brief introduction to what you need to do: get all the Dream Stones and reach the goal. Of course, doing this without getting hit is even harder and will require multiple playthroughs just to get everything down for one of these stages.

This one is pretty simple: follow the Dream Stone paths and make sure that Klonoa is dead center on them, or else you won't be able to pick them up. Be sure not to run into the trees. When you see the pink ramp, move into it so you can get over the Spikers.

After another trail of Dream Stones, avoid the Muus on spike wheels and get the Dream Stones. There will be more Muus on float boards; avoid them, then grab the Flying Muu and double jump left over the trees to get the Sun Stone.

From here, watch behind Klonoa so that you don't get hit by the Muus on the spike wheels. When you jump into the tornadoes afterwards, hold A so you don't fall into the pit. From there, get the last of the Dream Stones. You're done.

Vision 1-5

Go right, grab the Flying Muu, double jump to the Goomi, grab the Goomi, jump left and get the blue Dream Stone. Grab the Goomi again, jump and hover to the right. Grab the two Dream Stones, then grab the Muu, go left, face right, jump up a bit and throw it at the wooden crate to the right. Grab the flying Muu and go left, and double jump to grab the first Moon Stone. Grab the Flying Muu again, double jump to the right while grabbing the two Dream Stones, and head right to the next section.

Grab the flying Muu, double jump to the right and jump into the tornado facing up and to the right to grab three Dream Stones. Grab the Muu, then go left and jump into the tornado facing straight up while still holding the Muu. Double jump to get the second Moon Stone. From there, use the Goomis to get to the ladder, and climb up the ladder to the next section.

Get on the green platform, go left and grab the flying Muu. Double jump for two more Dream Stones, then grab another Flying Muu, go back down and throw it at the wooden crate near the ladder you came in here from to get a blue Dream Stone. Get the flying Muu yet again, jump to the right off the green platform, and double jump to the right and get the three Dream Stones you see. You will see another flying Muu; grab it and throw it at the nearby wooden crate, then grab another Flying Muu when it shows up to make it to the exit...but don't go to the next section yet. Wait there, and wait for the Flying Muu to come to you when it respawns. Grab it, then double jump to get the Sun Stone. Head right to the next section.

Climb up the ladder and get the two Dream Stones to the left. Head right and drop down, grab the box and throw it left, then grab the Muu and head back to the ladder. Get on the green platform that is moving back and forth, then double jump to the third Moon Stone and three Dream Stones. Go right, grab the Muu, then double jump to the last two Dream Stones and the exit.

Vision 1-6

Go down the ladder, then go right, grab the Flying Muu, jump left on the trampoline to the left and grab the first Moon Stone. Double jump left to get the blue Dream Stone, then get the Flying Muu and jump right off the trampoline. Remember to hold A to get maximum height off the trampoline. Double jump right and grab the two Dream Stones, then head right, grab the Flying Muu, get the two nearby Dream Stones, then head back left and double jump so you throw the Flying Muu into the wooden crate below for an extra life. Get another flying Muu, then double jump to the right, shoot a Wind Bullet at the portal to grab another Flying Muu, double jump right and hover to get two more Dream Stones along the way, then go right to the next section.

Grab the Muu, get the three Dream Stones, then double jump to the right with another Muu. Go down and grab the box. If you want, you can talk to Nagapoko, you can get an optional message from Chipple, who was from Empire of Dreams who is also in the tournament. Go right, jump up the tornadoes, go left, throw the block to the left through the one-way pinball doors, go left, then grab the box again and double jump with it to grab the key. Go back down, grab the Flying Muu, take the tornadoes up again, then double jump up to the ladder and climb up it. Jump to the right at the top, grab the flying Muu, and take it with you past the locked door and into the next section.

Interestingly, the Nagapoko at the beginning of the section will tell you that Moos and boxes can be carried between rooms. Double jump right and take the three Dream Stones at the start as you do so, then head right, jump off the trampoline, grab the Flying Muu, throw it at the wooden crate at the right for health if you need it. Grab another flying Muu, double jump to the second Moon Stone and head right to the next section.

The Nagapoko in the next section tells you about the flower pot, which you can push. Push it all the way to the right and grab the three Dream Stones, then head right, grab the Flying Muu, head back to the Nagapoko and double jump left so you can get the Sun Stone. Head back, grab the Flying Muu again and double jump above the pot to the left so you can grow a vine leading upwards with that Flying Muu, because the nearby Nagapoko says you can do that. Climb up the vine, grab the Muu and use it to double jump to the three Dream Stones and the last Moon Stone. As long as the Flying Muu lands in the flower pot during a double jump, you can use it over and over again. Take the Flying Muu and put it in the flower pot to the right, then climb all the way up, grab the Flying Muu, double jump to the left so that the Flying Muu lands back in the flower pot, then grab the Flying Muu again and throw it at the wooden crate so you can get the last of the Dream Stones. Put another Flying Muu in the flower pot if you need to, then grab the Flying Muu and double jump to the exit. You're done.
