PrinceWatercress plays Sly 2: Band of Thieves - Part 9 of 49

Now that we've got the clue bottles for this episode, let's see what's going on at the party before opening up a path into the palace.

Treasure of the Video

Ming Vase - This one is located deep in the level. The main challenge with this one is the long distance back to the safe house, but at least this one doesn't have a bomb strapped to it and you can get there a little more quickly if you know some of the shortcuts leading back to the safe house area.

Recon The Ballroom

You'll need to jump up some tree branches near the fire pit at the entrance to the palace in order to get s sneak peek at the party. Just jump up to the branches and press Circle at them to rail walk on them. It won't be long until you reach the balcony and go through the doors.

Don't go towards the party; otherwise, the guards will spot you and you'll have to start this next part over. You'll need to take pictures of Rajan (who will be walking around), both of the Clockwerk Wings (which are heavy and have been welded onto a statue) and the electronic winch at the ceiling.

From here, you'll need to take pictures of the guests. You'll be able to get pictures of The Contessa (who is undercover and part of Interpol), Carmelita (who is also undercover), Jean Bison (a member of the Klaww Gang), Arpeggio (a small bird in a cage who is also part of the Klaww Gang) and Neyla (who is undercover much like Carmelita and The Contessa). They'll move in and out, but there will always be targets indicating someone you haven't gotten a recon phot of yet. Just stay patient and be ready to zoom in.

After the photos, this job is done. This much is clear: the security chopper will have to be taken out with a gun turret in the area, and the drawbridge will have to be lowered so that Murray can get into the palace in the first place. From here, Bentley and Murray are unlocked and it's on to the second part of the episode.

Lower The Drawbridge

You'll be playing as Sly for this one. You'll need to pickpocket five guards, take their keys and use them to unlock the drawbridge winch and lower the drawbridge so that Bentley and Murray can get into the palace more easily.

This is another instance of finding guards to pickpocket with the L3 button and stealing keys from under their noses accordingly, much like the theater pickpocketing job from Episode 1. Keep pressing L3 to find the guards, get in position, keep pickpocketing them until you get the key. and don't get caught. Once you get all five keys, go back to the winch and use the keys to lower the drawbridge.

One of the key guards will be near a gong you can strike. Strike the gong, then get away. He will run towards the gong. Wait for him to walk away before pickpocketing him.
