In this entry, we head into the Dragon Caves and fight a giant snake.
Now that you can take the exit that was blocked off, do it. This will take you to the Dragon Caves. After fighting off some Upper Land enemies, you'll be able to go in.
Dragon Caves
There are no new enemies here, but you'll be doing plenty of exploring. Thankfully, the route through the cave is linear, for the most part. At the first fork, take the stairs to the left. Use Earth Slide on the Orb to open up the path on the other fork.
The boss here is the Great Viper, which will move around quickly in an attempt to hit you. It can also shrink you (good think we have the Midge Mallet) and can cast Level 3 Gem Missile. If you're going to use a physical attack, make sure you use a powered-up strike that covers a wide area. Also, use Level 3 Thunderbolt to wipe this thing out. You'll get a Sword's Orb when you win. This will allow you to forge the Herald Sword into the Claymore, which is effective against Insect-type enemies.
