In this entry, we learn that there is an eighth Evil Pig after defeating all seven that have been cursing the lands. We also take care of some loose ends.
It's time to beat the last of the Evil Pigs. The first is the Orange Pig, whose door is to the left of the top of the big tree next to the entrance of the Village of Civilization.
To beat the Orange Evil Pig, get on the platform on the upper-right that does not have a rope attached to it. Stand here, and pounce on the Orange Evil Pig when he shows up. From there, get him in the bag. Don't let him be on-screen too much, or else he will toss boulders at you. By beating the Orange Evil Pig, you'll break the spell on Baccus Village, and the people will no longer be mice anymore.
The other one is at the Seaside Mansion. The door to the left will be open, and you'll have to enter this other room to face the Navy Evil Pig, defeat her and get access to the treasure chest room again.
The Navy Evil Pig - and the only noticeably female evil pig of the game - teleports in and out while tossing bags. If you touch the bags, they will burst into smoke and hurt you. Meanwhile, the Evil Pig Bag moves up and down on the right side of the room, rotating counter-clockwise in the process. If you can jump on the evil pig and throw it into the ag, it's over. The Deep Jungle will turn into a beautiful forest when you win this battle, and not only will the sky be a bright blue, but the people of the Masakari Jungle will no longer hurt you. The cages will not even be a death trap anymore. Also, once you beat this pig, you can't enter the dining room ever again.
When you beat all seven Evil Pigs, you'll be teleported to the Strange, Small Room in the Underground Maze, where the Million-Year-Old Man will be waiting for you. You'll also get a Black Evil Pig Bag, which completes the "The 8th Evil Pig Bag?" and "Million Year Old Wish" objectives. The door to the Black Evil Pig is here in this room, but you won't be able to open it yet. The Million-Year-Old Man will tell you there is one more Evil Pig, and to get to him, you'll need to find seven friends to step on the floor switches after the first seven Evil Pigs become unsealed and fly away to meet the eighth. This triggers the "The Real Evil Pig" objective and the "Seven Friends" objective.
Remember the path that was being dug at the start of the Underground Maze? Go back to it. You'll complete the "Dig Like A Mole" objective for going there. The chests here contain Charity Wings and the Butamushi Thorn. This gives us the last of the ingredients for Mizuno's candy.
The Million Year Old Chest in the Seaside Mansion contains three 1-Ups.
From here, we can put all of the ingredients for the candy - the Kokka Claw, the Butamushi Thorn, the Needlegator Teeth, the Silver Powder, the Molasses and the Biting Plant Flower - into the pot by using them as items in front of it. This completes two objectives: "Biting Plant Flower" and "Let's Make Candy!". This will give us the Gold Candy. If you have more than one Biting Plant Flower, you can still use the spare as an item in the pot to get rid of it, if you wish.
If you talk to Mizuno now, she will ask herself how she could forget three large crystal balls and the mirror. Thankfully, we found them all a long time ago. This triggers the "What the Witch Lost..." objective, which you will immediately clear. Leave her hut, come back and talk to Mizuno to clear the "A Magic Mirror?" objective and get the Magic Mirror, which Mizuno says will make all sort of weapons more powerful. Talk to her when you have the Blackjack and the Grapple now that you have the Magic Mirror, and you'll get the Grapplejack, which is a more powerful version of the Grapple with much longer range. This also completes the "Power-Up For Tools?!" objective.
From here, leave the hut, come back and talk to Mizuno again. Mizuno will have a cold. This triggers the "Take Two of These" objective. Thankfully, we found the Cold Medicine in the Underground Maze. Use it as an item and you'll complete this objective as soon as you got it. You'll also get a Vitality Max +1 for your efforts.
From here, go back to Trick Village and talk to the 10,000 Year Old Man again. He will tell you about the Psychic Fish that he has in his collection of fish, then says he will be willing to give it to you if you can give him five golden items. These items are:
- Golden Candy: the candy that the cute witch makes for you
- Golden Flower: the flower that results from the seed that is planted before the first seven Evil Pigs are defeated
- Golden Fruit: give ten pieces of Cheese to the one villager in Baccus Village who is looking for them
- Golden Leaf Butterfly: Find the 29 Leaf Butterflies for the cage above Charity Fountain
- Golden Medal: get the best time on the Motocross Course
This triggers the "The 5 Golden Items" objective.
If you haven't jumped on the parrot at the old tree after jumping on all of the pump rocks in the game world before doing this, you'll take care of this fire and get the "Tree of Knowledge Knows" objective. Once you get that objective, leave the area, come back and jump on the parrot near the Old Tree to ask the Old Tree about the Golden items. This will complete the "Tree of Knowledge Knows" objective.
