HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II AGAIN - Part 17 of 65

In this entry, we talk to beavers. Yes. We talk to beavers. Also, we get our hands on the Ancient Sword.

Snow Cave

Be sure to keep the Ice book and the Mythril Shield you find later in the cave handy, too.

The chest containing the Ancient Sword contains a monster battle, and you may even come up against two Shadows. The Ancient Sword is worth getting; even though it has a low hit percentage and lowers your accuracy, it inflicts the Curse status ailment on the target if it actually connects, decreasing your enemies attack, defense and spell power by 50% while bypassing elemental properties, for it is a Mind elemental spell. It's best to place it in a character's item slot, and it is useful against tough enemies.

One of the rooms isn't empty! Joy! Going inside will take you into a room full of giant beavers. (Yes, we're talking to beavers.) There is one standing still in the upper left corner of the room, and Guy will be able to know what he's talking about. Ask this beaver about the Goddess Bell and you'll find out it's beyond the right-hand wall. Explore the wall and you'll eventually find out part of the wall is fake, and you can walk through it.
