PrinceWatercress plays Bonk's Adventure (Game Boy) - Part 6 of 6

...and now, the final confrontation (is there ever a final one?) confrontation with King Drool!

Round 6

Watch out for the rollerblading dinosaur that sneaks up from the left, the dinosaur with the babies following it and the small dinosaur that runs to the right. All of them are pretty fast, and if you don't hit the dinosaur with the babies with a mid-air headbutt, you're taking damage.

At certain points in the stage, there are certain areas where, if you stand there, a dino wizard will teleport in. Hit it with a mid-air headbutt, then get away and stay close show it does again

The bonus stage here is the one where you jump off the top of the column, repeatedly flip and hope you land on your feet for big points.

The second section is underwater and has all of the same underwater enemies as Round 3. There are areas with currents that will lift you upwards if you are in them, but you will not be affected if you are in turtle form. Watch out for spikes in these areas.

The white circle with the smaller circles around it is a bomb. It will flash if you get close enough to it. Get away so you don't get hit by the explosion.

The third section is more like the first section. There are more powerful enemies than ever, and there are also alternate paths you can take for lives and other awesome power-ups, and you can also climb on the walls if you need to get back to the upper path.

The fourth section has you climbing up a series of dinosaur bones. There are two flowers with big hearts that can refill a good amount of health, so get them if you need them. Also, the statue enemies are back. Great.

The fifth section is the boss rush. You'll fight the first four bosses in the same order you met them, and the same strategies apply. Look around the room for stuff and make sure to take it all before facing a boss; the things that show up will be different depending on which boss you're on, and it's easy to miss out on a free life. (Thankfully, I show everything off in the longplay).

The sixth section is the tank boss from the original console version of the game. It will move forward, move back, then leap from one side of the screen to the other twice before repeating the pattern. Hit the boss with a mid-air headbutt right where the antennae in the front, and try not to take a whole lot of damage while facing this boss.

Once you beat the boss, you'll return Princess Za (who is named Princess Liza here) back to her normal self. She will take you to the moon, where you will face King Drool. Wait around for King Drool and watch him carefully as he flies back and forth, and when he stops moving, get out of the way so you don't get crushed and hit him in the nose with a mid-air headbutt. After he does this twice, he will look around, fly off-screen, then come back on the ground in the direction he disappeared from and hop towards you. Hit him in the nose. He will then come back from the other side and hop at you. Hit him in the nose again. He will do this again, this time reversing the directions. Hit him in the nose, as always. After this, his attack pattern repeats. Keep on fighting, and once King Drool takes enough hits, he will run away and promise to return. You just beat Bonk's Adventure for Game Boy!
