In this entry, the Dreadnought wreaks havoc on Paloom, and plans have to be made to head to Kashuan to find the Goddess' Bell.
Bafsk
You'll find out that the Dreadnought is heading towards Poft, and that you must tell Princess Hilda about the Dreadnought back in Altair. You'll find out that Cid will know what the Dreadnought's weakness is.
Poft
The people here will mention that the Dreadnought has struck and that everyone has been killed (even though there are quite clearly still some NPCs here).
Talk to Cid again. Mention the Airship, and he'll tell you that it's powered by the Sunfire, much like the Dreadnought. Learn "Sunfire," then ask him about it. Controlling any sort of vehicle with it is rather tricky, as having the flame get too high can spell disaster. He'll also want you to destroy the Dreadnought when you mention the Dreadnought to him, telling you to destroy the engine when you get to it.
Paloom
When you head to Paloom, you'll find out that the Dreadnought has already struck and that a lot of people have died.
Altair
HCBailly buys a Mythril Knife for Guy and puts it in his right hand to boost his attack power.
When you head back to Altair, you'll find out that Altair wasn't spared either. Head back to the rebel base and talk to Hilda. Her father's health has gotten worse, and more townspeople are dead. Minwu will leave the party to comfort and help heal her father.
Mention the Dreadnought to Hilda. She'll tell you that many lives were taken because of it. Mention the Sunfire to her as well. You'll find out it's Kashuan's crest, and you'll be able to see it on the castle's ground floor. The Sunfire might be able to destroy the Dreadnought, but you'll have to find a way to remove it, as Scott and Gordon have told her that the flame cannot be passed to just any torch. She'll then mention that Cid's Airship can take you there.
Go to the King's room and talk to Minwu. Mention the Dreadnought to him, and he will tell you that the Dreadnought functions similarly to the Airship. Mention the Airship to him, and he will tell you that Cid gave up everything - his rank, honor and family - for it. Mention the Sunfire to him, and you'll find out that every three years, a Festival of the Flame is held in Kashuan, and that the flame is passed to Egil's Torch while the brazier is cleansed. Talk to the King. Mention the Airship, and you'll find out that Cid was once a fine knight. Mention the Sunfire, and you'll find out that Scott was sealing Kashuan's gate to protect it in case of defeat, and that you'll need the Goddess Bell to break the seal. Learn the "Goddess' Bell" phrase, then say it to the King. Only the Kashuan royal family knows where the Goddess Bell is. If you mention the Goddess Bell to Minwu, he'll tell you that someone close to Scott or Gordon would know about its whereabouts. Too bad Gordon fled...
Go to Hilda and mention the Goddess' Bell to her. She'll tell you that Scott and Gordon has mentioned it before, and that that gates of Kashuan Keep open only to the voice of a Kashuan or the sound of the bell. She mentions that the Goddess' Bell rests deep within a cavern on the snow plains, and that you wouldn't have to go there if Gordon hadn't fled. She then tells you to find Josef and ask for his counsel.
Talking to the people here will bring you some new information: Cid might know the weakness of the airship, and Prince Gordon has disappeared.
