HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II AGAIN - Part 16 of 65

In this entry, we explore the Snow Cave.

Snow Cave

The Ghoul has 60 HP, is weak to Fire and can be taken out with the Life spell. That's good, as the Ghoul can Paralyze you with their physical attacks. Ghouls could also be met at Semitt Falls, but HCBailly never met them there.

If you start fighting lower-ranked enemies from this point on, it will take more strikes/casts/what have you to get one point of experience.

The Grenades have 60 HP and are like the Balloons, except they have an even higher defense. Cast Fire on it (or the whole lot of them) as soon as possible. If you have Fire, having it at Level 4 before you enter the Snow Cave is well-advised. Thunder at Level 3 also works well, given whoever is casting it has an Intellect of 24, as it makes it easier to defeat enemies while multi-targeting with it.

The DeadHeads are pretty tough. Keep your HP high as you take these guys on, as they can take out over half of one of your characters' HP in a heartbeat.

The ArcticWind casts a Level 16 Blizzard spell on all enemies. It can be potentially devastating when used against the right enemies.

The Battle Axe will come in handy later on in the game.

The Shadow has 45 HP can cast the Blindness status on you with their physical attacks. They're not that difficult to get rid of if you've powered up Fire or any of your other spells.

The Mythril Staff will also come in handy later on in the game. You'll have to fight six Grenades to get it, but if someone in your party with an Intellect of 24 casts Level 3 Thunder on all of them, they'll all go down at once.
