HCBailly plays Final Fantasy III - Part 23 of 44


In this installment, we meet Dorga and learn what we have to do next.


Head back to the continent with the narrow corridor. Now that you have the Nautilus, you'll be able to get past the winds and travel onwards. You may meet the Icefrys here; if you do, hit them with Fire spells. Harpys, Chimeras and the rest of the enemies here are weak to Wind elemental attacks.

At the end of the path is Dorga's House. No sooner do you enter that you are surrounded by Moogles. Dorga shows up and recognizes you as the Light Warriors, and tells you that Zande is the one bringing Darkness into this world. When Archmage Noah died, Dorga was left his magic while Unne was left the Dream World and Zande was left with the ability to live as a human. Zande was dissatisfied, and has left the world, causing the earthquake with the Earth Crystal. The crystal that Goldor shattered was the crystal that gave birth to gold and not the actual Earth Crystal.

Zande has sealed off the power of Light, as is trying to summon the Darkness to make it his own. Dorga joins your party to help you in your quest. If you talk to him with the B Button, he'll tell you to take him to the Magic Circle Cave...and that you must Mini to enter. The candle in his room is the switch for the door to the cave. He is also ill and does not have the strength to stop Zande.

Go up the stairs to talk to the Moogles. Unne sleeps in the shrine South of Salonia, guarding the Dream World. You'll also be able to buy items and Level 6 magic here.

Bio is non-elemental, but does work against bosses. Warp not only takes you back a floor, but also works as an instant death spell. Aero2 is useful as well, as is Haste.

The room to the right lets you summon a Fat Chocobo if you need one.

To the north is Dorga's room. The two pots will replenish your HP and MP as well as revive, and the bookcase contains a HiPotion. You'll also find out the Magic Circle Cave leads to the Dark World.

Press A on the candle to open up the path to the Magic Circle Cave. Before you enter, use Mini on your party, put everyone in the back row and change your entire party to Wizards. Equip both the Black Magic spells and the Rods you got earlier on your party.

The Magic Circle is connected to another dimension where you'll find the Eureka Key. Eureka is the land where weapons too powerful for humans are sealed.


The Kill spell will work the monsters' levels are 75% of yours. It will cast instant death on all enemies when used.

This cave is pretty short and there is no treasure to hunt for, so go ahead and make your way to the end.

You'll come across the Magic Circle. He enchants the Nautilus to allow for undersea travel, and tells you to go south of Salonia to the Temple of Time, at the bottom of the sea at the two-pronged cape. Dorga wants you to find Noah's Lute, awaken Unne and get the Great Ship there as he heads to the Dark World to get the key to Eureka. He then Warps you out of the cave and back to the Overworld, as the cave is about to collapse.
