HCBailly plays Final Fantasy III - Part 14 of 44

In this video, we have some new classes to play with as well as some new items!

The Fire Crystal gives you some new classes.

The first one is the Knight. This is an upgrade from the Fighter, so if you have a Fighter, go ahead and make him a Knight. The Knight comes with a Cover command that protects party members who are low on HP.

The Scholar class can almost be as powerful as the Knight if you have the Elemental Books equipped, but the Scholar's Vitality is pretty low.

The Hunter class is pretty good and has the first three levels of White Music, but the White Wizard is a much more useful class overall.

The Thief class can unlock doors with a Magic Key, but will become far more useful later in the game when you have the best equipment for this class.

When you head back to the Dwarf Cave, someone will approach you from behind and tell you that the Argass forces are going to burn Tokkle now that they're done pillaging it. He'll tell you that Hyne can change his weak pint, but that the Scholar can see through this. (This is the only time the Scholar class is really useful in the NES/Famicom version of the game.)

Talk around in the Dwarf Cave and you'll get a free Magic Key. You'll also be able to go down the stairs in the lower-left and get the treasure there.

The Scholar Hat is for the Wizards, and is very good on defense. You'll also get another Scholar Robe.

The Knight Armor is best for, well, the Knight. Ditto for the Gauntlets.

You'll get another Killer Bow, three more Elemental Books and a few other common items such as a Soft.
