HCBailly plays Final Fantasy III - Part 28 of 44

In this episode, we finally get the Invincible and gain the ability to reach a few more areas that we initially couldn't before. What will we do this time?

Sirenos and Garb are pretty vanilla enemies. Even though they can split and make their own clones, as long as you finish them off quickly it won't be a problem.

When you make it to the bottom, you'll finally reach the Invincible. Press A at the steering wheel and you'll get it up and running. It should be noted that the Invincible is a bit slower than the Nautilus, and that it looks like the Warship from the previous game.

While in the air, you can go back inside the ship and go down the ladder to get on the ground. From there, you can press A on the ship's shadow to get back in the Invincible.

While flying, press A to kick the engine into high gear and fly over mountains, and press B to stop flight.

There are vending machines in the ship that let you buy weapons, armor and items and the ability to completely heal yourselves. You can also rest in the back and call out a Fat Chocobo.

Unne will then tell you to get the Earth Fang in the Cave of Darkness north of Amur, then return to Dorga's house. She then leaves your party. (Does she just swim back to Dorga's house or use her magic or something?)

Since you have the Fat Chocobo at your disposal whenever you want, get the Flame Mail and the Medusa Arrows out. You'll be needing them very soon.

Head to Fargabaad. It's in the center of the mountains, southwest of Salonia.

Talk around. You'll find out people are mastering the Dark Sword, which can only be handled by those who have overcome their fear of Darkness. The only ones who can use it are the Mystic Knights.

At the weapon shop, you can get the Yoichi Bow. Get it; it'll prove useful here.

Talking around also brings up the Masamune, and that dark swords only work on monsters in the Cave of Darkness. You'll also learn about monsters that Split when attacked with anything other than a dark sword. You'll also learn about the Ninja, who mastered both the dark and holy swords and mastered all weapons a long, long time ago.

At the north end is the Fargabaad cave. Some good items are in here. The old man near it informs you that dark swords are the only way to damage the monsters in the Cave of Darkness.

To the left of the waterfall is a secret passage that leads to the stream in the town. Go inside the waterfall to find a hidden cave, The old man is searching for someone worthy of the Kiku Blade.

You'll then fight a Shinobi. If you've leveled up your skills and your actual level like you should have, this is a breeze and the Kiku Blade is immediately yours.

At the end of the stream, you can get onto the island and find a few items: a Demon Sword, Demon Armor and two HiPotions.
