We finally enter the Cave of Darkness. Hoo boy...
The Fargabaad cave contains some good items. The Kotetsu and Ashura Blades are perfect for the Mystic Knight. Switching a Karateka (if you have one) to a M.Knight is a good choice. You'll also find Thor's Hammer near the entrance.

Buy some Feather Hats in Dastar. You'll need them later.
North of Amur and the Water Temple is a mountain maze. You'll want to go there and traverse it with the Invincible. You'll come across monsters such as the Chimera (which aren't really anything special), and if you come across enemies while flying the Invincible, you'll start your first turn with a cannon blast from the ship itself that does damage to all enemies.
Make one of your party members a Hunter, such as the Knight. This will let you put the Medusa Arrows and the Yoichi Bow to good use, as well as one of those Feather Hats and the Flame Mail. The Medusa Arrows will insta-kill all the enemies here that you use them in. Why? Because the Cave of Darkness is...
All the enemies Split, except for Hell Horses. If you see the Hell Horses, be sure to use Bolt3 on them. It works wonders.
The openings in the walls hint at secret passages.
The LamiaScl (Lamia Scale) Confuses enemies. It can also keep the enemy it is used on from Splitting.
You'll get another Kotetsu Blade from the guy near the stairs to the next basement floor if you talk to him. You'll definitely need it for your Mystic Knight.
