In this entry, we play as the Panda King for the first time and fight off hordes of undead mantis zombies while picking up caches of fireworks.
The Feral Pounce is the super jump from the end of the last episode from Sly 2. Press the assigned button, and Sly will make a huge jump. Thief Reflexes is the Slow ability from the first game, and you have to hold the assigned button down to slow down time. This uses special weapon energy, so be careful. Push Attack Level 3 is the most powerful of the push attacks; press Triangle three times to charge up to maximum strength, then press Circle to hit an even more powerful blow than you could with Level 2.
Vampiric Demise
You'll need to play as Sly to get this mission started.
The metal crates with the flames on them are General Tsao's fireworks stashes, and you'll need the Panda King to get the goods and get rid of the vampire zombies. Despite Sly's misgivings, he has no choice but to team with the Panda King. Bentley will then send for the Panda King.
From here, the Panda King has to deal with his own self-doubt, who wants him to get revenge against Sly Cooper. From here, tell the Panda King's self-doubt that Sly must live to teach both him and his other side humility. This makes both sides of the Panda King one and on the same page.
From here, you'll play as the Panda King. To fire fireworks, center the camera on a target, then hold L1 to load fireworks. This will fill up a gauge on the lower-left corner. When the green target on an object turns red, you can fire at it. Be careful not to overfill the gauge, or you will overload on fireworks and damage the Panda King. By moving the right analog stick, you can sweep over multiple targets, but remember that this will spread your fireworks out between targets and that it is possible to spread yourself a bit thin. By focusing eight fireworks on one target, you can do double damage.
You can press Square to perform a fire chop, but it is possible to hurt yourself, especially if the enemy blows up when defeated.
When you're done with the tutorial, walk up to Sly to get the job underway. Use L3 to pull up the red waypoint arrow and keep track of where Sly is, and follow Sly from one fireworks cache to the next. Bentley will warn you when the undead is coming, and from here, you'll need to seek and destroy. Look for the undead mantis vampire zombies, hold L1 and use the right stick to target multiple enemies at once. The more zombies you fight at one time, the better.
The third cache is the most difficult. Remember that while you can move and load fireworks simultaneously, you cannot run while doing it. That can be a pain, considering that the Panda King's running speed is even slower than Murray's. Also, the fire chop is not advised against the zombies, as they blow up and do damage whenever they are defeated.
After you get all three fireworks caches, head back to the graveyard and start launching fireworks at the large gravestone. When that happens, you'll get more zombies to show up. When the zombies show up, all regulars enemies will disappear. Like earlier, target multiple zombies and always fire the maximum of eight fireworks to fight off all the zombies. When you blow up the large gravestone, you'll complete the job.
