HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II AGAIN - Part 47 of 65

In this entry, we head into the Mysidia Tower and get some additional dialogue at Castle Dist.

Mysidia Tower

The Imp is a good enemy to use Osmose against, though you can also Curse them. They are Rank 5 and are Earth- and Magic Beast-types with 300 HP, but they have no elemental weaknesses. Hope you don't run into a ton of them; they can be threatening in groups of seven. The Imps can cast Charm 16 on your entire party and confuse them, but at this point, some of your characters will be equipped with some spell or some piece of armor that protects against ailments like Charm and Confuse.

The White Robe (WhteRobe) boosts Spirit by 10 and also has immunity to Mind, Body, Matter and Death-elemental skills and spells.

If you ever have to leave the tower for any reason, go right, then down. Otherwise, you'll see the red ray of light and you'll be kicked back into the tower. To re-enter, approach the tower from the south.

If you go to the throne room in Altair, you'll get some new dialogue from Gordon and Hilda, and Layla will be there, revealing that she survived being swallowed by Leviathan.

If you return to Castle Dist with Ricard in your party and talk to the kid, you'll find out that Ricard knew the kid's father and that he will promise to raise the child as a Dragoon when the Emperor is defeated. You can also talk to the mother and find out that her name is Elina, and that Ricard and Elina both know each other. Ricard will promise to come back when the war is over after Elina gets him up to speed about what happened to everyone else.
