There is an intact dungeon in a cyclone. How does this work.
You'll be seeing brick walls after a while. Apparently, there's a castle inside of a whirlwind. wut
The chest with the WindFlute (which casts Aero 13 on all enemies) contains a Green Dragon (G.Dragon). At this point, Mist 16 does negligible damage. You can just hit it with powerful attacks and a powerful Holy spell. Make sure you have protection against Poison for this battle.
The Healing Staff is bugged in the Famicom version; it is supposed to deal more damage to Undead enemies, but it doesn't exactly do that.
When you go up the stairs to the left of the chest, you'll finally meet Emperor Paramekia. When you approach him, he sics his guards on you, which are total crap. After those two battles, you'll face the Emperor, two Corpses and a Golem.
You'll have no problem getting through the enemies to reach the Emperor in the back. Amazingly, you can hit the Emperor with Toad or Mini, and he won't be able to do much if you suck the MP out of him with Osmose. The Emperor can caste Haste, Bolt 10, Slow 9, Blink 8, Barrier 8.
For some reason, if you have an effect on your weapon when Haste is cast on you, the game will re-calculate your status if you switch weapons in the middle of the battle, yet Haste will stay with you. Ironically, Berserk does not transfer between weapons.
After the battle, the Emperor will die and you'll return to Fynn.
Castle Fynn
You'll return to the castle to rejoice the Emperor's defeat, but news comes that the Dark Knight has become the new Emperor. Even better...Leon was the Dark Knight the whole time! (Totally saw that coming.)
Talk to Hilda. The Emperor may have been controlling him with black magic, but there's only one way to know for sure: head for Palamecia Castle. Learn "Palamecia," then head into town.
