PrinceWatercress plays Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus (GBA) - Part 18 of 25


There's a lot of crystals to grab and a lot of ground to cover. Let's do it.

Turtles required for this stage: Raph, Mikey

The stage starts with the Turtles being teleported to Earth and back to their sewer home. Interestingly, Fugitoid is teleported back with them. Mortu, who just so happens to be there, explains that someone - obviously Shredder has hacked into the Transmat, and during the teleportation process, the Transmat on Fugitoid's side was destroyed. From here, the Turtles have to break into the TCRI building with the teleporter, find some red crystals, and use those to teleport to the top floor.

Meanwhile, in the TCRI Building, Stockman is puzzled as to how the Turtles could have made it back while 

This stage is pretty big and contains 35 crystals. Be prepared to spend a bit of time here if you want all of them.

At the start, you'll need to teleport upwards. Do not even fight the security droids, as it will hurt, and don't get caught, or else you'll have to use means other than the teleporter pads or the doorways throughout the building to hide, as they will be booby trapped. Take out the security nodes on the second-to-last "floor" to move on.

Some parts of the walls are square shaped and look separate from the rest of the wall. Remember them for when you have your weapon.

In the next section, make your way up without getting zapped, and enter the teleporter on the upper-left corner. From here, take down the security nodes in the upper-right corner of the room without getting caught by the security droids. The red ones will shoot missiles at you, while the blue ones shoot a three-way fire shot. From here, go up to the upper-left corner and take out the security nodes. You'll finally be able to get your weapon. Beat up all the security droids; one will have a Blue Keycard.

From here, backtrack to the start and take out the square shaped panels in the wall you've been seeing along the way. Breaking them will allow you to collect some hidden crystals. You'll also be able to access a previously unreachable teleporter pad in the bottom-right corner of the starting area; this takes you to another area where there is a teleporter pad in every corner. If you have Mikey, you'll be able to explore the right-side of this area for a few crystals.

The teleporter at the top will take you to a place full of bars you can swing on. The teleporter to the right at the bottom of this room takes you to a place you can only climb up in if you're playing as Raphael. For best results, latch onto the wall with forward then A, lower yourself just a little bit, then leap back with A and holding the D-Pad towards the direction you want to latch onto the wall in. These two crystals are the hardest to grab.

In the section the four corner teleporter pads, the lower-right teleporter pad takes you to a series of security lasers. You'll have to avoid them as you go from floor to floor, or else you'll have to fight some evil robot Turtles as punishment for tripping them...and you'll have to do your best to keep them both at one side and hit them with charge attacks to defeat them. By activating the monitor at the top floor, you'll turn off the security lasers for good. The blue teleporter pad requires the Blue Keycard. Go in, take out the two red security droids and get the Yellow Keycard.

Go back to the area with the four teleporter pads in the corner and take the lower-right one. Avoid the technicolor jellyfish as you make your way to the right. Enter the yellow teleporter, since you have the Yellow Keycard, and fight off the two robo-Turtles. For best results, keep them to one side, and stay away as they get up so you don't get attacked immediately and have a chance to avoid the spinning blades they can throw at you. Once you beat them, go up a floor, press Up at the monitor to get rid of the jellyfish and break the blocks above for crystals. From here, you can explore the underwater area at your leisure for crystals and health. Mikey's floating jump is needed for the crystals at the top here.

From here, head back to the beginning and get back to the swinging room. Use Mikey to float to the crystals as you jump the red teleporter. Once you take it, you can exit.
