PrinceWatercress plays Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus (GBA) - Part 16 of 25

After another boss battle, we take on another time attack stage.

Feudal Japan 4

Turtles required for this stage: Any (although I use Mikey)

For this stage, you'll be fighting another boss. This time, you get a big purple toad. I use Mikey's charge attack to throw the nunchaku at the boss as much as possible and damage the frogs that pop out of its mouth. Sometimes the frog will shoot its tongue at you; if you get caught, hold Down and keep mashing B to get a free hit once you free yourself. Mikey is perhaps the easiest Turtle to beat this boss with. Once the boss is gone, get all the crystals here. You're done.

Feudal Japan 5

Turtles required for this stage: Leo (or Don), Raph, Mikey

Once again, you'll be in another timed stage where you'll have to get to the exit before the time is up. Here, your platform grabbing skills and the ability to bounce off wall panels will be put to the test. There is a block above where you start that you'll have to break for a big crystal. Also, you can slide by holding Down and press A to get past the spikes at the start.

Shortly after where the weapon is, you can take the far right path with Raph and climb your way up to the exit. With Mikey, you can break the blocks below where the weapon is with the charged-up throw attack as well as a few in some crawl spaces afterwards. With Leo, you'll need to break the blocks below your feet with his Down+B charge attack, and you'll need to take the left path after the weapon to get a crystal only he can get, as well as one in the lower-right corner in the exit area. Also, don't forget to break the blocks on both sides of your weapon.

If you need to, play this stage piecemeal: just get a few crystals, then immediately focus on getting to the exit as quickly as possible. This one can be tough to beat if you get a bunch of crystals at one time.

For the exit, be ready to run and jump off one platform that is moving back into the wall to one that is moving out of the wall towards the center.
