Stages 6 and 7 were difficult, but they felt possible. This one? I lost quite a few lives just trying to remember what to do here. But if you can beat this stage as well as the hardest boss in the game, you can save your brother and beat the game!
Stage 8
This is the toughest stage of them all. You'll have to dodge a variety of things such as flame jets and rotors while having to move across conveyor belts and occasionally ditch your balloons to move across some narrow corridors. Hope you brought plenty of lives!
The pistons will come down as soon as they reach the top. Be ready to get on a moving platform after the third one, then be ready to jump over the campfire. Wait for the next conveyor belt, then make a running jump over the three campfires. Re-inflate your balloons, and stay under the drums so the sparks don't hit you. Watch out for the grabby hooks as you use the platforms, then stay away from the globes with the sparks in the them or else you will get shocked and lose a life.
From here, you'll have to avoid moving sparks. Go as high up as you can, then ditch your balloons at the top so more sparks don't touch you and destroy you. From here, it's one last stretch with some platforms before you meet the boss.
You need to jump over the robot boss when he opens his mouth and before he spits out the sparks. From here, you'll need to jump on his head, then jump over him so you can have some room to jump on him again. When you land a hit, all the sparks will disappear, and you'll need to jump over the robot immediately. You'll then need to jump towards him just before he starts moving, and that will take some good timing.
Once you beat the boss, you'll rescue your brother Jim and you'll watch the credits roll. You just beat Balloon Kid!
