Our trip down the mine tunnel is where the difficulty of this game heats up, but on the other side is another Tetrad and a talking donkey.
You'll meet some familiar enemies here such as the snakes and the scorpions. The blue snakes will charge at you quickly, while the blue scorpions will shoot at you if you are lined up with them..
You'll also see cactus men. They will chase after you and shoot shrapnel in the cardinal directions when destroyed. Attack them diagonally.
If you see a big crack in the wall, destroy it with your dagger.
Use your diagonal jump to get past the boulders.
In the room with the tiles around the pit, hit the tiles that flash when you walk on them to get two hearts from each of them. From here, drop into the pit, fight off the cactus men and head south.
The dark red chests are Mimics. Switch to the Psychic Shock Wave when fighting them, and avoid their coins when they shoot them. If you use your dagger, they will all turn into coins and move around randomly at a fast speed.
The bolas come back from the first game, and they are a more powerful and longer-ranged throwing weapon than the dagger.
Destroying the cactus men south of the Mimic room opens up a path south that leads to a Potion.
The boss here is a gray cyclops that tosses boulders at you. He will also block low and high with a boulder in his hands. Jump up to hit him high, and stay on the ground to hit him low. When he tosses a boulder, jump straight up over it. If you touch him at any point, it is instant death. From here, follow the path to get out of the dungeon.
When you travel north from here, you'll meet a talking donkey. How the donkey is here is unknown, but the donkey will give you added strength and upgrade the Psychic Shock Wave into the Super Psychic Shock Wave, making it more powerful, faster-firing and farther-reaching, before stating that their magic will guide you on your journey. The dagger is still more powerful, but only by a tiny bit now. At this point, the Super Psychic Shock Wave is the better weapon, but keep in mind that if you take too much damage, you'll go back to the normal Psychic Shock Wave until you heal yourself back up a bit.
