PrinceWatercress plays Mega Man 7 - Part 4 of 9

It's time to take on the second half of the Robot Master stages...and we've got a few interesting ones here.

Cloud Man

Now that you have the Freeze Cracker, hit the weather robots that are floating around with it to make it snow. Now that you'll be able to see the platforms, use Rush Coil to reach the ladder on the high platform. Go up the ladder, then go left for the U icon. (To the right of the ladder is a useful extra life.)

By spelling out "RUSH," you'll be able to get the Rush Power Adaptor! This is just like the Jet Armor from the sixth game. Equip it, then press Y to finally see this thing in action. Press B in mid-air to hover forward. Charging up the Mega Buster will shoot a fist forward with limited range. The armor will not allow you to slide.

Slash Man

The Stegosaurus robot will shoot its own spines at you. When the head and tail switch positions, it starts shooting missiles that can easily be destroyed by the Mega Buster. The head is the weak point.

Leap off the logs on the waterfalls before they go all the way down into the pit. The higher up they are on the waterfall, the better the chance you have of getting to the other side.

The green Gallimimus robot will take you over the spikes if you ride on their backs.

If you go up after the Shield Joe, you'll continue the stage normally.

The T-Rex robot's weak point is the lower jaw.

Watch out in the forest. Wasps will circle the nests, and they will hurt. You cannot destroy the nests...yet.

To beat Slash Man, use the Freeze Cracker and hit him as he chases after you. Avoid the balls and the red stuff that comes out of them when they land whenever Slash Man climbs up onto the ceiling. If the balls drop on you, mash the Control Pad and the controller buttons to break free.

Beating Slash Man gives you the Slash Claw, which cuts apart enemies but only up close.

Spring Man

There are a lot of springs around here. Some are on the floor and will bounce you up, but there are some on walls and ceilings as well. The wall springs are interesting as they can take you to stuff, but the ceiling springs can send you smack dab into enemies. Just remember that all you have to do is hold the jump button down at any time after leaping of a spring to keep getting higher jumps.

The Slinky robots actually move like the real Slinky, even going so far as to go neatly over the edge at the end of a floor or platform.

The middle platform in the stairs leading down to the ladder before you make it to the huge room contains a super-large health pick-up that refills all health. Use Rush Search to get it. If you go up the ladder, get on the platform in the center of the room and use Rush Search there, you'll get a huge bolt worth 100 bolts.

You'll soon reach a big room where you'll have to bounce on platforms to the other side. The red boxes with the black punch weights punch in the direction that the block dictates, and if you jump off the edge of one, you can rotate the box and change the direction the big weight launches itself in.

The spring platforms can send you flying if you land on the top...or if you hit your head on the bottom, which you won't want to do if you want to progress.

Spring Man's weakness is the Slash Claw. Hit him with it, then wait for him to stop flashing before hitting him again. When he jumps up into the air, slide to avoid his extended punches as soon as he spins his hands around. You can also use all charged shots with the Mega Buster on him, as well.

Beating Slash Man will give you the Wild Coil. It shoots one coil forward and one coil back. Charge the weapon to make them jump higher.
