PrinceWatercress plays StarTropics II: Zoda's Revenge - Part 3 of 16

pepperoni pizza? But I wanted to find Sly Cooper! Wait...this was 19 years before that? Well...never mind...

Chapter 3

You'll end up in Ancient Egypt.

Go north, and you'll see two trees near a wall. If you go between them and go east, you'll find a hidden passage to a hut where you can meet a guy named Jack who will trade your ax for a bronze dagger. Do it; you'll need the range. (If you don't get it now, you'll automatically get it after the next dungeon.)

From there, head back through the hidden passage and talk to the people near the boat. You'll not only find out you're in Ancient Egypt, and that the nearby ship is the Queen's barge.

Approach the boat and talk to everyone. You'll find out about the Queen's cat and hear more things about the Queen that are not of importance. After that, you'll be able to go into the ship. You can talk to all of the NPC's - including the snake - if you want, but you'll soon be addressed by Cleopatra. Mike will tell her about what has been going on, and says that she will give you a Tetrad if you can somehow get her a large pepperoni pizza without the anchovies. (Yes, she says this.)

From here, leave the barge and head back to the overworld, then go north. Talk to the guy blocking the path, and you can follow the path to the Border Pass.

The spiders will shoot at you if you are horizontally or vertically lined up with them.

To defeat the cyclops with the knife, treat them like you did the bears in the Ice Age.

There are now tile puzzles from this point on. If a tile lights up when you walk onto it, it will do something if you jump on it.

After the first cyclops with the knife, walk into the tile three times. You'll find a slingshot with 50 shots, which you can save for the boss. It is a little more powerful than the dagger.

Interestingly, if there are two pits to say - your west and south, and there is a tile to the southwest, you can move onto it just by moving Mike onto it. No jumping is required.

The hedgehogs will roll at you if you are horizontally or vertically lined up with them.

The scorpions are much like the spiders, but they take slightly more damage.

Eventually, you'll meet some invisible enemies, and you'll barely be able to . When you defeat them all, take the path that opens up to the north first, so you can get a potion.

The boss here is a big red scorpion. This big scorpion will have the usual, smaller purple ones as back-up, and when it moves its arms up and down, get away to avoid the five-way shot that it fires at you. Be sure to use the slingshot if you have it; it does more damage than Tink's Axe or the dagger.

Just like in the last game, potions do not carry over between dungeon, so be sure to use them after a boss battle if you need to.

When you follow the path out, you'll come out in a different area...
