Station 4
To beat the boss in the first stage, equip the bombs and shoot right at the wall face. After enough bombs, you'll be able to get through the rest of the stage.
At this point, you should be able to dodge enemies and keep from getting hit. Once you do that, you'll be able to save all those shields while building upon what you have, and getting through the game will be a bit easier.
