PrinceWatercress plays Tagin' Dragon

Yep, it's time for another short one. I'm surprised I beat this one, to be honest.

The aim of the game is simple. You play as the green dragon, and you chase the other brown dragons with the Control Pad and eat at their tails with the A button. You have to eat all the dragons' tails before they eat yours, and if your tail is completely eaten up, you will lose a life. Thankfully, you come back where you died, and nothing gets reset. If you get caught in a wall, just go in a different direction and move away for it.

Ice tiles are slippery and make you move faster, and the purple skull tiles will eventually kill you if you stay on them too long. Hedges will block your path, but you can eat them to get them out of your way and sometimes you can find power-ups that give you points, including cherries that give you temporary invincibility. The yellow thing that looks like a tea pitcher is really a magic lantern that will help you re-grow your tail.

The gauge in the lower left is your time. If it runs out, you lose a life. To the right of that are the amount of lives you have (which you can't add to), and your score. Since you can't extra lives, you'll have to get through the entire game with all three that you start with.

There are three things to remember: if you can chase your opponent into a dead end, do it. Never let yourself get surrounded in an open area. Always make sure your tail is away from another dragon's mouth. If you keep those three things in mind, you'll go far in the game.

If you can get your enemies to come to you, do it. Also, be sure that you're all up on your opponent so you can eat at their tail...unless you can carve a path directly to yourself that doesn't go anywhere else. That works, too.

After you've beaten all 20 stages, you've beaten the game. Guess what? This game isn't very good. There are better looking, sounding and playing games.
