This short chapter has us going through a maze in a whale in our continuing search for Dr. Jones...
Chapter 4: Confession
Head east. You'll be on a fish-shaped island known as Tunacola. Go to the hut, and you'll enter a small fishing village. Talk to everybody. One person will tell you that somebody has sailed all the way from C-Island to find you, and that he is probably still rowing his boat on the east ocean.
Get back on Sub-C and go east from Tunacola after going around it. You'll soon be swallowed up by a huge whale. Thankfully, you'll be in one piece. Follow the path west and you'll find Baboo and his raft. He will tell you that he witnessed your uncle's kidnapping, that it involved a huge flying ship, and that he was afraid it would come back from him and did not tell you. He is now here looking for you to tell you what happened, and now the both of you must get out by making the . He has a lighter, but it fell out of his pocket when he got swallowed. Now you'll have to find it.
Go east from where Baboo and the raft is. One of the dead ends will have the black wavy lines. Dive there. Take the path west all the way to the end, and dive at the black wavy lines near dry land. From here, take the path west and go west at the bridge. From here, you'll have to get off Sub-C at the south end of the water to get the lighter. Grab it, get back to Sub-C, then dive down at the nearby set of black wavy lines. Go south and you'll be back to where Baboo is. Talk to him, and you'll use the lighter to set the raft on fire, causing a bunch of smoke to bellow out that will make the raft sneeze.
You'll both be launched onto a very small remote island along with Sub-C. Baboo will tell you Dr. Jones' last words: "Evil aliens from a distant planet" and "Tell Mike to dip my letter in water." Baboo tells you to leave him on the island while he goes to find Dr. Jones.
When you go to the Sub-C, Navcom asks for a frequency. There is a letter that came with the game during its initial release, and if you dipped it in water, you got the code needed to progress past this point. There was an electronic interactive workaround when it came out for the Virtua Console. (Strangely, such a workaround was not provided when the game was released for Nintendo Switch Online, although the Internet quickly picked up the slack on this one.) If you dipped the letter in water, you'll find out that Dr. Jones has a tiny transmitter in his shoe due to fears that someone is watching him, and the frequency for it is 747 (a reference to the Boeing 747 commercial jet aircraft). By putting in 747, you'll be able to track your uncle and end the chapter.
