We're finally reunited with our uncle, but we still have work to do.
To the north of the big rock is another dungeon.
This dungeon starts rather curiously. If you just go north, you'll eventually reach a dead end. If you were to go through the east wall in the next room, you'll find a hidden room. To the east is another room with a pair of hearts you can pick up. But how do you get there?
Believe it or not, you have to go east at the very start of the dungeon. There, you will find a hidden passage leading to a bunch of tiles. One of the tiles will trigger a switch that will open the door to the north, and once you go through out, you'll be where the pair of hearts is. You are now free to go through the rest of the dungeon!
Watch out for the sword-like blades that pop out of the ground. Thankfully, they all travel in a straight line; it is just down to timing when and where they will show up.
The pinwheel-like item is a shuriken. Press B to throw it once, then press it again to have it split in two and move to the sides. Just throw a shuriken and press B when it is lined up with the snakes to get rid of them.
The spiked ball is much like the pendulum stone you saw earlier in the game. Hit it to get it to move back and forth, and jump to stay out of its way. Be sure to use the shurikens and their splitting powers to get rid of the snakes beforehand.
The flies afterwards are a little faster than the ones from very early in the game. If you go west after defeating them, you'll find two pairs of hearts. You will have to hit the tiles to open up a secret passage to the north.
The purple frogs act much like the dodo birds from earlier in the game. The ghost circles keep you from using the yo-yo for a short time if they hit you.
To get both pairs of hearts in the next room, you'll have to go north and around the wall, then grab the first pair and go through the nearby western wall to get to the other. Jump to the north on the other side and move around the floor until you find a secret hole. The whole will lead to two treasure chests containing shurikens and a potion. Just jump on the nearby tiles to find switches that will open them. Now you can go back and open the door to the west.
You'll then face a mini-boss. When the statue sees you, it will spin around and shoot a four-way shot. Jump over the projectile and hit them with the yo-yo (preferably the Shooting Star). If you can get the timing down, you can get a few shots in before you have to run away and get a good amount of distance to start attacking again. After the battle, you'll find a tile that will uncover an extra life sign.
To the north is a bunch of tiles. If it isn't a switch, it will be where a power-up will pop up, so be sure to jump on all of them and get everything.
The flashing set of rocks is actually a rock monster that will spawn when it reaches a wall. Jump over the rocks as they come towards you, then jump to strike when they materialize into monster form to avoid being attacked. Be sure to kill them quickly, or else they will explode and create a four-way shot before teleporting and coming at you again.
The purple rock monster acts just like the purple mummy. Go west after beating him to hit a tile and get some more shurikens, then go north. After fighting some more, you can go west, then south to the potion (and some shurikens, if you hit both tiles).
You'll then have to fight two statue mini-bosses. This time, use the shurikens and have them split to make it easier to hit them. Just keep moving around the room and hitting them with the shurikens when you can, and you'll eventually take down one of them, making the other one much easier.
After that, you may think you're done. Suddenly, the lights will go out in the narrow corridor. Keep going north and trying to go through the western wall. You'll find a hidden passage to a bunch of tiles you can , a pair of hearts and a chest containing more shurikens. Leave, then head north.
When you head north, stay on the white tile. Jump straight up to avoid the fireballs that the statues spit out, then throw the shuriken and press B when your projectile is lined up with the statues' mouths. Eventually, you'll be able to beat them and leave. Jumping to the sides will give you a pair of hearts and more shurikens. Be careful jumping on the tiles when it's time to get out.
After going north, you'll be out of the dungeon. Thankfully, the path ahead is much more straightforward. You'll finally meet your uncle, Dr. Jones. He will tell you how he found the big rock that you saw earlier, and how the writing on it tells of an incredible story of the far-away planet of Argonia. The people there fought aliens, and were all but destroyed when they sent their last escape pod to Earth. The rock we saw eariler is what remains of that escape pod, and the holes in it are for three magic cubes that the pod came here with. The aliens are now here, and they have forced the locations of the magic cubes from Dr. Jones and taken them. Now you'll have to get them back.
You'll then be able to head north and follow the path, which ends Chapter 6.
