Here it is: the final battle of King Colossus!
For the second set of platforms, there will be four platforms side-by-side that re-appear and disappear one after the other. Time it so that you land on the first one as soon as it comes up, run to the right and jump the gap before you fall down.
Near the end, you'll have to face the flying one-eyed miniboss one last time, but this time, there will be five gold skeletons littering the floor. Take care of the miniboss first, then get rid of the skeletal stragglers to open the door and get out. The next room with the nine gold skeletons in the room is the last possible room you can save in; you won't be able to save at any point after this.
To the south of the room is the balcony elevator. Interact with the statue, and when a voice comes out of the statue that states that King Carleem is a magnificent ruler, say "Yes" when it asks if you agree; otherwise, you're falling down a floor.
At the top floor, you'll finally find King Careem. He will run away, and the monster statues will come to life and attack you. Unfortunately, these statues are very weak and will go down very easily while giving very little experience, and catching up to King Careem is easy.
When you catch up with Careem, he will plead for you to spare his life and will give you anything you desire in exchange. Unfortunately, the main character isn't buying it, and you'll have to keep approaching him until he reaches the statue of Gryuud. He summons Gryuud, then Gryuud grants his wish of creating a new world ruled by death and destruction before squashing him. You'll now have to fight Gryuud in another dimension that spans endlessly..
For the first part, watch for the shadows of the hands and shoot them down. When you hear rumbling and exploding sounds, stay on the move so the arms' lasers don't hit you and you don't get squashed.
You'll then fight Gryuud's head. Move up or down to avoid the claws, then get to the side of the head and shoot at it to avoid the lasers. After five lasers, the attack pattern repeats itself.
After beating this second form, you'll be back at the entry level of the castle. Everyone will want you to become their king after having beaten Gryuud, and when you head back outside, you'll be congratulated only to find out that Gryuud isn't quite dead yet. He sucks you back into another dimension before telling you he lied dormant until you let your guard down.
Equip the Shining Sword and the Time Stop spell. Cast Time Stop, then get in front of Gryuud and keep hacking away at his chest. When the screen starts flashing again, cast Time Stop again and keep hacking away. After two Time Stops and endless hacking, you'll fight his head. Get the head near you and cast Time Stop, then move towards it and hack away with the Shining Sword. When the spell wears off, use the Triple Bow to finish him off while avoiding the fireballs. Coming here with a Medical Herb is well-advised. It won't be long until you beat Gryuud for good.
When you beat Gryuud for good, he tries to take the main character with him. Before that can happen, magic surrounds the main character before King Orphus tells you that those in the Abyss can rest and that your destiny is now complete. You'll also hear from your mother, who will tell you that you can now live for yourself.
You'll be back outside behind Danaal Castle, and Iria will show up and tell you that she has been looking for you and that you suddenly vanished into the sky. She also tells you that a female voice told her to take care of you. From here, you'll have a choice of returning to the castle or not.
If you choose to return to the castle, the main character will return to the castle, take Iria as his wife and they become the King and Queen of Danaal. From there, the main character uses his powers to rebuild the other countries and usher in a new, long era of peace. From this day forward, you are known as "King Colossus," and you have etched your name in history.
