We finally meet villains in this game before heading further into the world, where the trouble caused by the murky water has proven to reach far and wide across the world.
Dwarf Desert
Dwarf Cave
Now that you have the Freezing Pot, it's time to head back into the Dwarf Cave and enter the area where we found the Protective Ring. Use the Freezing Pot on the odd-looking lava area to turn it into ground that acts as a pathway to the Hobbit Village.
Once you cross, you'll meet Princess Felicia. She will tell you she was kidnapped by Ella and brought here in an attempt to use her power to move Lagoon Castle to an inaccessible place and end the world. She mentions a secret place in the castle where the power of magic will be multiplied, and if the evil spirit is revived, it will be terrible. Suddenly, Ella shows up and tells us to stay out of this if we want to stay alive, then runs off with Felicia.
From here, go north, then west, then open the door. Save the game before you go in, equip the Elixir and get the Protective Ring ready when you enter. Ella will tell you that you've sealed your fate, and sends her pet Eardon after you. Stay away from Eardon, and when Eardon sticks his head out, whack him in the face. You'll have to lure him towards you on the northern half of the room, then move away and move to the south so you can hit Eardon in the face. Eardon will shake to fake you out, but just wait for him to move again. If you're patient enough, you'll eventually destroy Eardon. Go through the door to the north to enter the Hobbit Valley, then save your game.
Hobbit Valley
There are two new enemies: a slow, gray larva like enemy that comes at you when it sees you and an orc that throws pickaxes at you. Both enemies are pretty slow.
If you go north from where you began, you'll be in the village of Poper.
Poper
By talking to the villagers, you'll find out that this town used to be lively, but it is now deserted and that an epidemic has spread in the village due to the murky water of Lagoon Castle making its way here. Sadly, some people are suffering and others still are now dead.
There is a church here, you'll learn that the water of Lagoon Castle was once clean and blessed the village. Now that the water is murky, however, things have changed. You'll also learn you need some Mint, which will cure just about anything and free the village from the plague. There is some in Siegfried Castle, but the demons there make it impossible for anyone to get near it.
There is another building to the west of the church. Here, you'll see a sick mother tell her child to leave the village. There is not much else you can do here, however.
There is nothing else to do in Poper, so leave the village and head west to reach Siegfried Castle.
Siegfried Castle
The swords being swung up and down by the statues on the walls are just there for decoration; they do not hurt you.
The knights here are impervious to magic, and while wind magic can push them back, it does no damage.
The spinning triple orb enemies will move around in random directions and also come at you if you're close enough. If they hit you, they will do a lot of damage. Thankfully, magic can kill them.
The Defensive Ring does not increase your defense; instead, it makes you invincible if you wear it.
The Force Sword is a step up from the Magic Sword you found in the Dwarf Cave, so go ahead and equip it.
