PrinceWatercress plays Tougi Ou: King Colossus - Part 8 of 22

We now have to fight our way up the ranks to become champion again...but will we get our freedom this time?

To the north of where you start in Laiard Coliseum is where you can talk to other people as well as heal up, just like in Laiard Coliseum. Be sure to talk to everyone so you can enter the rankings, get information and finally get access into the information so you can fight in the arena and continue with this part. You'll also meet Ganku, who will give you hints on the enemies that you will face here. Sadly, he has not seen Iria. You can also rent equipment just like this time. The Metal Hammer is a large hammer, the Anger Lance is a long, powerful lance that can also strike to the sides in addition to forward, the Hermit Cane is a powerful wand with a large area of effect, and the Skull Shield is a shield with a lot of defense for this point in the game.

Your first opponent is the #4 ranked Vuura, who will summon skeletons to attack you. Don't worry about the skeletons; just focus on Vuura and you'll beat him.

After beating Vuura, Ganku will tell you that Waip is a magician who uses teleport. To beat Waip, stay on the move so he doesn't hit you with his fireball, and hit him when you're close enough. It is possible to destroy the fireball with your weapon. The Anger Lance makes this battle a lot easier.

After beating Waip, Ganku will tell you that Maitoh makes clones of himself. When you face Maitoh, you'll find out that he is a demon. When Maitoh shows up, he teleports out and then shows up with a bunch of clones all over the arena. While it's hard to tell how to find the real Maitoh, he and his clones will disappear if you hit him. Otherwise, you'll be playing the waiting game. If your level is in the high teens, you'll be able to kill Maitoh in two hits.

After beating Maitoh, Ganku will tell you that Ganyme is a giant crab monster with a hard shell and a bubble attack. Also, the other gladiators will finally start cheering you on, and you'll be told that Princess Lina will want to speak to you after the final battle here.

To beat Ganyme, get close to it and attack it. You want to corner this enemy just like you did the enemies in Laiard Coliseum, and the Anger Lance will do a very good job of that. That way, you won't have to worry about the bubble attack.

When you beat Ganyme, you will be summoned by Princess Lina to meet her in Distaria Castle. If you have a rental weapon/shield, you'll lose it here. At Distaria Castle, Lina will tell you that you exceeded her expectations. She will then speak to you alone, and all of her guards and advisers reluctantly leave before asking you to follow ger to a crystal cave to the east that is inhabited by a dragon. When asked to accompany here, say "Yes." You'll go into the cave, and no sooner do you enter that the dragon's servant take Lina away. You'll be stuck in the cave until you rescue her.
