PrinceWatercress plays Tougi Ou: King Colossus - Part 6 of 22

Well, we won the tournament, but we refuse to deal the final blow. This gets us sent to the dungeon, potentially to be executed. It's time to escape.

At this point, you'll start meeting enemies you haven't seen yet, and Sakkatsu is an enemy you'll be seeing regularly later.

To beat Sakkatsu - a guy with a disc weapon - corner him with a flail weapon like the Death Scythe like you did the other enemies. He moves around in curved line-like fashion, so trapping him isn't too hard. He may hit you from a distance, but you'll be piling on the pain.

After beating Sakkatsu, you'll see a blonde-haired girl in a pink dress surrounded by guards. Talking to the guards will reveal that the girl - named Princess Lina of Distaria - is interested in the personal inspection of the gladiators. Also, you'll notice that Paris is gone, and one person will tell you that Blarda defeated him. By talking to the people nearby, you'll learned that Queen Desire used the power of Gryuud to not only destroy countries who defied her, but make her servants into rulers of wicked kingdoms. You'll learn that King Carleem of Danaal was born a commoner and would do anything for money, including selling his soul to Gryuud to become a king.

The soothsayer will tell you that Iria is unable to leave the castle because her father is somewhere in the castle and something might happen to her. He tells you to save Iria. Ganku will tell you that there is another coliseum in Distaria where the gladiators fight monsters instead of each other, much to Ganku's relief. The guy to the right of Ganku will tell you of one hero who fought Desire to the end: Lufelia's king, who was eventually defeated due to King Kazard's treachery. Because of this, Lufelia and its people no longer exist. Iria will tell you that you will have the chance to fight her if you beat Blarda, but she will not be merciful.

To beat Blarda - a guy with a sword who moves in curve-like patterns - trap him like you did everyone else. He can hit you from a distance with supreme accuracy, but you can trap him even more easily than you did Sakkatsu.

After beating Blarda, people will tell you to succeed and win your freedom to defeat Queen Desire. Ganku will tell you that he has decided to go to the coliseum in Distaria, as he has gotten permission to do so and he has had enough of beating up other people. The guy near Ganku will tell you that the king of Lufelia's name: Orphus. When he utters it, however, he suffers from a curse that makes him explode and kills him when he utters Orphus' game. Iria is nowhere to be found because she is the next person you will face...and she is a lot different from all the other opponents you've faced. After Iria wishes she did not have to fight you and says that she has no choice, you

Run around the arena and watch for Iria's shadow when she jumps into the air. Her shadow will reveal where she will land before throwing a shuriken at you, so run up to the shadow and strike her. Having the Death Scythe or any distance weapon makes this easier, for the faster you can strike her, the less likely she is to deal damage to you. Having the Cursed Shield is a little better, but if you don't have that, you can always use Aura Shield if this battle is giving you a tough time. Using Time Stop is a bad idea, however, because if you hit her while the spell is active, she won't come back down from above until the spell wears off.

Once you beat Iria, walk up to her to trigger some dialogue. Iria will tell you to kill her after complimenting your skills, but you will automatically refuse. Queen Distaria will become absolutely furious and calls your refusal to kill Iria blasphemy and defiance towards Gryuud. She sics the guards on you, then you are imprisoned in the dungeonand set to be executed. If you've rented anything from the guy behind the counter, it will be removed on the next screen.

In the dungeon, Iria will show up and tell you to get out of here, then tells you that if she leaves, her father will be killed. After telling you to save yourself, she tells you to leave. Leave the cell, and you'll be able to talk to people. One man is a former minister, and he will tell you that King Loire is held captive in the underground waterway below. Another man will tell you that if you don't destroy the fire-breathing stone statue, the waterway entrance won't open. To the west is the next dungeon.
