We can't leave until we rescue Princess Lina, so we might as well go in there after her.
Crystal Cave
As soon as you start exploring the cave, you will be able to open a passage to the room to the east. The old man in green will be able to heal you, and he and the other people ask you to defeat the dragon as there are other girls besides Princess Lina who have been kidnapped. You'll also learn that you will need Dragon Claws to break some of the crystal that will block your path. You will find them in gray chests.
The flashing tiles will hurt you if you walk onto them.
The Fighter Glove will be under "Other Items." It increases your attack power by fifteen, so be sure you equip it.
The orange frogs are stronger versions of the green frogs you've previously met. Once again, you can't hit them with the crossbow, so use a non-crossbow weapon like the Haken to defeat them.
The Aura Band is a step up from the Power Band, and it increases your attack by 20 when increased.
The lizardmen charge at you when they see you, and they are both fast and powerful.
The gray glowing spheres cannot be destroyed with the crossbow. Use a long-range weapon like the Silver Lance to take them out, because if you run into them, they will do a ton of damage.
The blue faces that block some doorways will shoot projectiles at you. Using a powerful blade weapon will do more damage in less time.
The green dragon that kidnapped Lina is an enemy. They fly around in curves and spit blue fireballs. The earliest place where you will see them is on an icy floor, and while you're moving around, you have to come to a complete stop before you can finally attack. Take short, small movements so you can slip and slide less and attack a little bit faster. Also in that room is the Crimson Armor, which is a step up from the Soldier Armor and is a nice shade of red.
The gray tiles with the crosses on them also deal damage if you step on them.
The Double Bow is a step up from the Crossbow, and it shots two arrows forward and to the side. Thankfully, the angle on the arrows is pretty narrow, so you can still hit stuff in front of you without much difficulty while still being able to hit two enemies at once if your timing is good.
When you find the crystals with people inside, you're near the end. These are all of the captured girls, and if you go north from here, you'll find Princess Lina. Walk up to her to examine the crystal, then move away from her and do it again to get the dragon's attention.
The dragon will pop out of the wall and spit fireballs. Have the Double Bow equipped and keep hitting him in the head. The dragon has three attacks: a pair of fireballs that will slowly home in on you, a spread shot that goes across the room at multiple angles and a fast fireball that will hit you more likely than not unless you're good at jumping over things. Stay to the side of the dragon's head so you don't have to deal with the third attack and you can jump over the side shots of the spread shot. Also, be sure to keep the dragon on-screen so you can deal damage.
When you beat the dragon, the dragon will tell you that he is immortal and will return many years from now, but will commend you on your battle skills, as the only other person who was able to beat him with Orphus, King of Lufelia. He says that you may be able to claim the Legendary Sword in the Sword Shrine that Orphus left behind, and that it may be your destiny. Lina will be freed along with the rest of the missing girls, and the people who came here to confront the dragon will be relieved.
You'll then be back in Distaria Castle a few days later. Lina will thank you for rescuing her again, then tells you that she has overheard that the ministers are plotting to kill you, for they fear your strength. Lina does not want you to die, and mentions that you should go to the Sword Shrine like the dragon told you in order to find the Legendary Sword of King Orphus, who she refers to as "Orphus the Berserker," and increase your power. She also believes that you will return. You'll then go to the Shrine of the Sword.
