PrinceWatercress plays Tougi Ou: King Colossus - Part 17 of 22

Apparently the castle maze is harder than the boss itself.

Lufelia Castle

The third pit platforming segment is much simpler, but it is still simple to screw up. If you do screw up, you're going back to the drop-off point with the two Mimics. If you get through it, however, you'll take a very linear path to the next area. Again, save the game when you make it to the other side.

At the end of the path is King Orphus, who has been waiting for you. He tells you that you must defeat Desire as quickly as possible, as she is forcing innocent people to fight in her coliseums to gain dark power and make the entire world just like the abyss. He then tells you there is a gate to the dark world on the roof, and if you can defeat its guardian, you can return to the surface world. He then powers up the Legendary Sword with his spirit to make it the Shining Sword. If you plan on using it, re-equip it so that the sword's power does not equal your previous weapon. His throne then moves aside to reveal a path to the rooftop.

At the rooftop, equip the Shining Sword and the Time Stop spell. You'll meet the necromancer who teleported you into the abyss, and he transforms into a monster. When the monster lowers his head, cast Time Stop, then slash at the face with the Shining Sword and try not to touch it. If the screen starts flashing, cast Time Stop again before it wears off. If you keep up with the attacks, you'll take the guardian down in no time.

After the battle, Gryuud's pentagram lights up and you're back in Lufelia Castle, fully healed. Your next destination is Distaria Castle.
