It's time to face our destiny and head to Danaal Castle for the final battle. This is it. There's no turning back.
Danaal Castle
If you want, you can go back to any area on the map except for Kazard Castle and the Abyss in Lufelia Castle, in case you missed anything.
When you reach the castle, you can talk to everyone outside, including Muuk, who we haven't seen since we hauled off to Laiard Coliseum. Yeah, you'd better call me Prince Watercress, old man. Flora will tell you to forgive Muuk, as he had your best interests in mind and you became strong and brave as a result. Flora will also be able to heal your HP and MP if you come back to the outside of the castle with the Exodus spell.
One of the people will tell you that Carleem is at the top floor of the castle, and that once he is defeated, Desire's days are numbered.
As you enter the castle, Iria will still accompany you. One guy will tell you about levers on the third floor that will activate some platforms. Without these levers, you won't be able to reach the higher floors. You'll also run into some former Gryuud followers, but they all say the same thing and don't do anything important. You'll also meet one of the men you saved in Kazard Castle, who is glad that you are still alive, and you'll also run into Ganku on the way to the second floor. Ganku has joined the rebellion to avenge his comrades who died in the coliseum. Ganant and Fahm from the very beginning of the game will also be nearby on the path to the second floor.
When you reach the second floor, some people will lie on the floor wounded. Iria will stay while she tends to them all, and from here, you're on your own.
At Level 27, you'll be able to destroy the archers and the barbarians in one hit.
Remember the one-eyed flying mini-bosses from Distaria Castle? Well, they appear again here, but now that you have the Side Bow, they're even easier to deal with.
The red demons with two swords attack much like the lizard men.
Shortly into your trek to the top, you'll find the first of a few moving platform areas. In this one, go south and hit the lever before continuing as normal.
The crab enemy from Distaria Coliseum is now a normal enemy...and a pushover.
After the first set of moving platforms, you'll meet Zakkar for the first time since the Shrine of the Sword. He will tell you that the castle has a lot of treasure, and he is taking advantage of the situation to steal as much treasure as he can. He also mentions that he has no interest in the war against Queen Desire, then tells you that you must use the balcony elevator to reach the top floor.
South of Zakkar is a red lever. Push it to the left, then you can continue on.
You'll find the Triple Bow in a gray chest, and it is more powerful than the Wide Bow. The three arrows will be much closer to each other with this weapon, Once you find it, leap into the pit surrounding the platform it is on and you'll fight the self-duplicating enemy from Distaria Coliseum. You still have to kill the real one, but even the clones give experience. From there, you can enter another room where you will have to jump off the edge of platforms that disappear and re-appear to get the Peacock Rod, which is the most powerful staff in the game.
