In this entry, we hang posters, find the missing drummer and check out the nightclub for the first time.
Head to Hell's Pawn. At Hell's Pawn, there is a police station as well as the nightclub itself. You can hang a poster on the police station wall, and this is the last place where you can hang a poster. Here are all the possible poster locations:
- Salon du Lezard, next to the door leading out
- Outside Lefty's Bar
- Inside Lefty's Bar
- The poster wall next to the right dome at the Prune Headquarters entrance
- The moist wall in Lefty's bathroom (use the darts to hold it up)
- The Leisure Suite counter (tell Bea Thuse it is an ad for a new sex toy at the dialogue prompt)
- Outside the gym at the strip
- Inside the gym, between the door and the counter
- The trash cans at Lefty's Bar (not an actual hang-up spot; use it to get the "Lazybones" achievement)
- The back room at Lefty's Bar (not an actual hang-up spot; use it to uncover the now-dead pimp from the first game and get the gold tooth)
- The left side of the pawn shop at the fairgrounds where the conspiracy flyer is
- The police station wall near Hell's Pawn
From here, click on the guitar. You'll get the attention of the bouncer, Cébé. (You can also click on Cébé to start a conversation.) If you tell him the guitar is stolen, you'll be able to find out that he got it from Bea Thuse at the Leisure Suit and to go ask her. From here, you'll get more dialogue options. As for the nightclub, Cébé won't let you get inside the club; however. he will tell you to tell him if you can find someone who can find a fresh show act for the club.
Head to the Leisure Suite on the strip and ask Bea about the guitar. You'll find out that Waltraud, the pawnbroker at the Funfair, sold her the guitar. Head to the Funfair at Pier 69 and ask Waltraud about the guitar. She'll tell you that she got the guitar from Stix LaBeum, who is on the slots nearby. Talk to Stix and tell him to confess about selling the guitar, and he'll tell you he needed the money to play the slots. If you tell him to tell Cébé that he stole the guitar, he will tell you that he will not move an inch as long as he keeps winning on the slot machine.
Head back to the Salon du Lezard on the strip and tell Lemma about the guitar. Lemma will tell you that you will have to convince Cébé that the guitar is stolen somehow.
From here, there's nothing more to do with this task...for now. Head to Lefty's Bar, then go upstairs in the back room. Now that you've matched with Erin on Timber, mention Timber to Erin when you make it to the door. You'll be able to enter Erin's room and finally meet Erin. Larry will talk with Erin, who then tasks him with fixing the Internet. From here, you'll find out that Erin is in New Lost Wages earning a degree in literary history and that she is doing cam shows to pay the bills. She will also tell you that Lefty should know where the router is. Before you leave, take the condom lying on the bed.
Go back to the bar and talk to Lefty about where the router is, and you'll be able to find out through the dialogue options that the jukebox is a router - and a crappy one, at that - and that the music selection is terrible, too. Before you leave, take the gum off the bar next to the stool on the right. You'll need it for later.
Head back to the strip and head to the Leisure Suite. Talk to Dick, and tell him that you have an idea where the photo for the Timber profile can be taken: Pier 69. Dick thinks this is a great idea, and if you talk to him about it, you'll find out that it holds sad memories for him and that his ex is over there. Until his ex leaves, he cannot go over there.
Go back to Pier 69. You'll see a pigeon. Click on the pigeon and Pi will tell you that the pigeons here have developed a taste for particularly disgusting food. The bread by itself won't do much, but if you combine the bread with the Barbarian Brew leftovers. Give the Barbarian Bread to the pigeon, then the pigeon will get sick, fly away and poop in Becky's coffee. Becky will take a sip of this and run off, then you'll talk with Lance. It doesn't matter which dialogue option you pick here, and Lance will try to insist he is heterosexual again. He then says he is in the mood for Szechuan Sauce, and a specific brand that was only available since he was a kid called "Szechuan Crazy Fanboi Edition."
Go to the funfair. Go back to where you pinned up the poster for Lemma's concert and pick up the corn dog, then head back to the pier and go to Lefty's Bar. Go to the bathroom and click on the vending machine. You'll find out that Szechuan Sauce is one of the things you can get. Use the Gold Doubloon - which you got at the vending machine, then select the Szechuan Sauce. You'll find out that you will need to put something over the dispenser. Use the corn dog on the vending machine and select the Szechuan Sauce to create the Nostalgic Corn Dog, then head back to Pier 69 and give the corn dog to Lance, who will gulp it down in seconds. Lance will then admit he has been a little confused lately, and that he got out of what seemed like a relationship recently. He then says that he has to work off the corn dog and leaves.
The screen fades in and out, and Dick will show up. He will thank you for getting rid of his old flame, then tells you that they missed the golden hour. He then tells you that if you can somehow pull a sunset out of your pants, to let him know. This hints at the panorama at the pawn shop.
