PrinceWatercress plays Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry! - Part 20 of 20

One year after the release of the game, the developers released a new path with game fixes, controller support for PC...and an epilogue!

One year after this game came out, Crazy Bunch Games released a patch that fixed some things further and gave controller support for the PC version. It also supplied an epilogue that takes place after the conclusion of the main game. This time around, you play as Faith, and you're on a boat like in that one scene in Leisure Suit Larry 2. At least here, you're not dying every five seconds.

When you start playing the game, you actually get fifteen minutes worth of cutscenes before jumping into the action. The epilogue starts just before the end, where Faith Less flashes back to when she was pitching the PiPhone in the first place. Here, you'll see a slightly younger Faith experiencing misogyny from the investors she's trying to persuade into buying into the PiPhone, who tell here that she is better off working as a secretary or in the kitchen appliances business. There are dialogue options in this part, but no matter what you pick, the investors refuse to take her seriously because she is female. Undaunted, Faith meets Bill Jobs in the ArrrBugs Cafe - a reference to Starbucks that used to be located in what is now the Salon Du Lezard - and hires him as an actor to persuade the investors into buying into the iPhone in exchange for becoming the face of Prune. Sure enough, it works, simply because the investors only want to listen to a man. Interestingly, BJ will use the same dialogue choices that you did before you met him, which is a nice touch.

Afterwards, the game returns to the present day, Faith and BJ have an argument, then Faith steps out after an intruder shows up. This is where Larry gets locked in the age in the main game. Outside, Faith has a nasty call with the board of Prune, then she walks up the hill. Larry has the final confrontation with Faith Less, which we've seen before. Also, just like in the main game, the puck from the high striker at the Funfair falls from the sky and lands on Faith's head, knocking her out and knocking her into the boat, which falls into the ocean and swims away.

Faith will then wake up in the boat with amnesia and no recollection as to how she is in the middle of the ocean. From here, you'll finally be able to play the game.

There is a storm approaching, though you can't You can click on the bow and stern of the boat to explore these items. If you want to get back to the ocean itself, just click on the water to go back so you can explore the other side of the boat.

In the bow, there is a blanket with a bucket under it, but the bucket has a hole in it and you cannot patch it up just yet. There is also the puck from the high striker and the PiPhone. There is a suitcase full of things, such as money, underwear and documents. You can take one of the documents, even though it is a useless item here.

Taking the puck (called a "slimy thing" here) will be useful a little later, while the PiPhone can be used to help Faith learn what her name is again and soon as you click on it. Of course, once you do that, you're going to have to charge it up if you want to send a distress call to get off the boat and out of the ocean. That's where the pockets above the documents in the briefcase comes in. One of them contains a USB charge cable, while the other contains a super power battery. The battery is useless, but thankfully the charging cable is not.

From here, there is the stern of the boat. There is a life preserver, and while you can remove one of the ropes tying it to the boat, you won't be able to remove it just yet. There is water in the boat, but you cannot see through it, and you will have to get rid of it if you want to see what is below. There is a box with a flare gun, fishing line and a can of worms. All three of these things are useless, as there are no flares for the flare gun and the game does not let you fish at all. Also, the worm looks like Larry if you look at it in the inventory.

You could try to close the green box containing these three useless items, but unfortunately, the hinges are rusted. If you have the "slimy thing" which is the puck from the Funfair high striker, you can use it on the hinges to re-lubricate them and close the box. When you close the box, you'll find a first aid kit with band-aids (which are useless), duct tape (which is not useless) and a needle (which is useless; however, you can use the needle on the screws covering the hatch to the outboard motor to bend it into a fishing hook and use it with the fishing line, but you cannot use the hook to fish in any way and you also cannot use the worm as bait - thanks, April Pope!).

You'll also notice a USB port on the outboard motor. Unfortunately, the rope and handle cannot be pulled back to start the motor, for they are hopelessly stuck. If you use the USB charge cable on the port, Faith will have trouble plugging it in. You'll have to use the charge cable on the port three times to finally use it as intended, and once you do, the PiPhone will instantly be fully charged. Once you do this, the nearby storm will get worse.

From here, go back to the bow and use the duct tape on the bucket to patch. Take the bucket, then go to the stern and use the patched bucket on the water to get it out of the boat. You'll be able to pull another rope off the life preserver, and once you do, you'll be able to take the life preserver. Do that. You'll also find a screwdriver. Take it.

From here, use the screwdriver on the hatch on the outboard motor. You'll find out that the motor is inexplicably powered by Bluetooth. If you haven't used the USB charge cable on the USB port on the motor, you won't be able to turn Bluetooth on, but if you did, you can. Press the button, and you'll get the boat working...only to find out you won't be able to get anywhere as the motor has no fuel. You did all this for nothing.

Pi will then tell Faith to throw out the life preserver. Do that. The life preserver will sink into the ocean. From here, the situation will be hopeless, and Faith's PiPhone data - every last bit of it - will be transferred over to Larry Laffer's iPhone. The storm will then destroy the boat, and Faith's fate is left up to translation. However, her PiPhone will be on a floating plank of wood, where it successfully transfers all of its data over to Larry, setting up a potential sequel. The epilogue then ends.
