PrinceWatercress plays Kirby Super Star - Part 10 of 14

Now that we've completed all of the main games, it's time for a new one. We've unlocked Milky Way Wishes, so it's time to check it out.

Milky Way Wishes

HELP! You must stop the Sun and Moon from fighting!

The title screen cutscene tells the story of the Sun and Moon getting in a fight. A weird guy in a jester hat named Marx asks Kirby to stop the Sun and Moon from fighting, and says that the only way to do that is to collect seven stars to summon the giant comet Nova to make the Sun and Moon stop fighting.

In the tutorial, you'll find out that you won't be able to swallow enemies in order to copy their abilities. Instead, you'll have to utilize the Deluxe Copy Ability. By touching the Deluxe Copy Ability characters, you can keep the powers forever and pause the game to select any of the abilities that you've found. B lets you learn all the moves for that ability, while X lets you back out. You can also press X and switch between the powers you have with Left and Right, and pressing A to confirm.

From here, you'll be on the overworld map. Use the Control Pad to move around and press A to select a planet. The first one we're going to is Floria, the planet north of Dream Land (which you can't go back to).

Floria

When you play this game, you'll notice that all the enemies are different colors. This is the programmer's way of making clones of enemies that can't have their abilities stolen when you swallow them, and these palette swaps are only in this game.

In Floria, you'll have to go through the doors to switch between spring, summer, fall and winter. This will not only help you get to the end, but also find abilities.

Go through the door at the top of the ladder at the start until you end up in winter. From there, go left, and there will be a door that isn't there during any other season. Inside, you'll find the Ice ability.

From here, go back to fall. At the door above the lake, return to winter. You won't be able to break the ice around the door (yet), but if you switch to summer, the lake will be evaporated by the sun and you'll be able to go down there and get Fighter. (If you go here in Winter, you won't get anything.) From here, return to winter. You will be able to get past the waterfall to the right just by breaking the ice with the slide, which is frozen solid and won't be able to push you back like in the other seasons.

At the next door, go through the seasons to get food if you need the health, then go back to winter and continue forward. Enter the door past the tree until you go to summer. There will be a door to your left where you'll be able to get Cutter.

Go right. At the next door, switch to fall. You'll make it to the end. Here, you'll face Twin Whispy Woods from Revenge of Meta-Knight. Same strategies apply. Once you beat a boss, you'll get a star needed to power the Dream Fountain and call on Nova.

Southeast of Floria is Aqualiss.

Aqualiss

You'll drop down to a door at the beginning. Enter it.

In the first section, you'll be swimming around and also standing on some islands. Be sure to watch out for Gordos, and keep an eye out for bomb blocks. One will blow up a palm tree and reveal a door leading to Parasol.

There is a cannon near the end of the first section. It only leads to some pick-ups, though.

The second section is underwater, and has a few bubble like areas that act like air. If you swim into those areas, you'll be moving around like you're in mid-air until you end up back in the water.

The third section is a castle-like area surrounded by water as well as Meta Knight's soldiers. There is a room that will lead to a mini-boss battle with the karate mini-boss, and if you beat him, you'll get the Sword ability. The exit to the fourth section is in the lower-left corner at the start of the third section.

The fourth section is a maze. There are several paths, but only one is the right one. There are multiple doors, but only one doesn't take you back to the start. One of the paths will take you to Beam, which is the only Deluxe Copy Ability that you can get in this section.

The boss here is Fatty Whale from The Great Cave Offensive. Same strategies apply. After this, you'll clear another stage and get another star.

Between Skyhigh and Cavios, there is a bright green star that is different from all the rest. If you press Y on it, you'll end up in a jungle similar to the one from The Great Cave Offensive (with weird colors and inn music) followed by an area with black ground and a cobalt blue background. At the end, you'll get the Copy ability. This can be easy to miss. Don't forget to fly!

Also, if you've cleared a level, you can press Select on the pause screen to get out without having to get to the exit.
