PrinceWatercress plays Kirby Super Star - Part 14 of 14

We close out Kirby Super Star with two more games. Despite being very simple and very short, you can have a lot of fun with these.

Samurai Kirby

Push any button immediately when you see "!".

This is a mini-mini-game within Kirby Super Star. All you'll need is a quick reaction time to play. After choosing your difficulty in one player mode, you'll face a few enemies: Waddle Doo, Wheelie, Chef Kawasaki, and King Dedede. As soon as the "!" shows up, be ready to press A, B, X or Y and strike before the enemy does. The sign on the right will show how quickly you pressed the button.

If you strike before it shows up, you'll get a fault. Two faults, and you will lose. If you can beat Dedede, you'll win the game.

Megaton Punch

Pay attention to the power gauge and watch the pendulum.

After selecting your difficulty, you'll face three opponents: Waddle Dee, a female Knuckle Joe and the Fighter mini-boss. You press A, B, X or Y much like in Samurai Kirby, but the gameplay is different.

You have three things to do. The first is the gauge. Press a button when it reaches the top.

You have two crosshairs. Press a button when they are on top of one another.

You then have a metronome. Press a button when the watch is in the green circle.

If you do one of the tasks perfectly, you'll get a sound for it. If your hit is powerful enough, you'll send an earthquake down Popstar, and if you can do all three things perfectly, you'll cut Popstar in half. By doing better on the three tasks than your opponent, you can get a high power rating, and if your power rating is higher than your opponent, you win. When you beat all three opponents, you'll win the game.
