Now for Aqua Planet, which has some of the most interesting music in the game.
Aqua Planet Zone
The music here has some extra touches on Game Gear that are not on Master System.
This is the last area where you can get special stages, but you should have them all by this point.
Enemies include spears that come out of the floors and ceilings, small bird bots that jump back and forth and the water itself. Thankfully, there are air bubbles that you can jump into - much like Labyrinth Zone from Sonic The Hedgehog - to regain your breath, which is a good thing, as it is possible to drown from spending too much time underwater.
There is a way to get rings in the third act. Don't take the springs; instead, spin dash into the invincibility power-up, then let the spring take you to a ten-ring monitor.
The boss is a sphere-shaped robot. Take out the bird robots by hitting them twice, and keep pressing 1 or 2 to stay in the air. When the sphere-shaped robot shows up, follow it to the right while continuously pressing 1 or 2, and stay to the right to do all the hits that you need.
After you destroy the robot, you'll have to avoid the missiles. This is where the ten rings you can get here can really make things easier. If you can survive the missile salvo, jump into the bottom of the boss from underneath when it pops up for the coup de grace. It's now on to the final zone.
