PrinceWatercress plays Kyatto Ninden Teyandee - The Longplay

It's time for this whole game in one video! It didn't dawn on me to make a longplay for this game until some time later, so you're getting this now.

As soon as you start the game, you are introduced to the Rescue Team. Catton can punch rocks, Meowzma can dig in dirt, Bat Cat can fly and Spritz is the best swimmer.

Stage 1

Little Tokyo is peaceful...until a giant robot starts attacking the city. Now it's up to the Samurai Pizza Cats - Speedy Pizzas, Guido Anchovy and Polly Esther - to stop it.

A jumps, B attacks, Left and Right let you move around and double tapping either direction lets you dash and make some very high running jumps. Go in the other direction to stop. Up and B lets you use your Ninpo attacks, which uses some of your Ninpo meter.

The hearts are your health. To the right of that is your score and current amount of lives as well as the Help Meter. When you pause the game, you can switch between the Samurai Pizza Cat you are currently playing as and the four members of the Rescue Team with the Control Pad. When you use their abilities, the Help meter goes down. Picking up a jingle bell icon or switching back to your main Samurai Pizza Cat will refill it, even though the jingle bell is an instant full refill.

You'll have to move into the rock and hold the Control Pad towards it before punching it with B in order to break it with Catton.

The enemies here are pretty easy, all things considered. Some of the ninja birds will double back if they run past you.

The Japanese symbol powers up your Ninpo attack. The first one is always a shuriken of some sort, though the second attack is a more powerful projectile that may or may not be some sort of boomerang. The third level is a full-screen attack.

There are alternate paths through the levels, but they all lead to the same place in the end. One such path has water, and while you usually have to jump to ascend in it, you can use just the Control Pad if you're playing as Spritz.

Meowzma can dig through the dirt. Just move into it and Meowzma will do the rest.

The scroll with the N fully refills your Ninpo.

The small cop robots will explode after they start standing still. Watch out for the debris that comes down.

At the end of the stage, you'll meet Bad Bird, who sends Pappaira at you. To beat Pappaira, go up to him and hit the small skull on its body. There will be UFO's descending towards you, but Pappaira is super-easy to beat.

After the battle, Seymour "The Big" Cheese takes his anger out on Jerry Atric, then you can choose between the next three stages.

Stage 2

In this stage, Bad Bird kidnaps Lucille at the inauguration day of the Emperor's new ship, and forces her to sink the ship. Lucille isn't having this, and she starts firing missiles at Big Bird. This tips Speedy Pizzas, who is looking for her at the docks, off to Lucille's location.

When it comes to ninpo, Guido Anchovy can throw kunai, but he can also throw his parasol like a boomerang and he has a full-screen attack just like Speedy does.

The notes from the guitar-playing enemies will hurt you, but you can destroy them as well.

The birds at the top of the first ladder will line up with you before rushing at you much like some of the Bad Bird henchman. Also, there are white birds that can drop power-ups when you hit them.

The underwater section near the end will take you to some power-ups, including a heart with a paw that restores all your hearts.

You'll soon find Lucille, but it is Bad Bird that needs helping after being hit by eight missiles. You'll then face the boss, Princess Goldfish. When Princess Goldfish shows up, jump up and hit her at least once, then stay on the ground so you don't get hit. If Princess Goldfish somehow shows up near you, you may be able to get two hits, and if you hit her as she flies across the screen, you'll knock her back.

After the boss battle, The Big Cheese takes his anger out on Bad Bird.

Stage 3

In this stage, Bad Bird has gone to High Shine Tower - the broadcast tower for all of Little Tokyo - in order to hijack and get The Big Cheese one step closer to becoming emperor.

Polly's regular attack lasts longer that Speedy's and Guido, and if you're close enough to an enemy, you can hit them twice with it. You can also turn around mid-attack and attack at the other side. (You can do this with the other cats, but Polly is the easiest to do this with.) Her ninpo attacks are a pink heart kunai, a pink boomerang and a full-screen attack that flashes pink.

The metal platforms will disappear if you're on them for long enough, although it is possible to get on them and then back off without them disappearing at all if you're fast enough.

The drum enemies are much like the guitar enemies from the last stage. Also, the faces with the wagging finger will shot a lightning bolt at your current location.

When you have a choice between going up and going right, go up for a bunch of power-ups. Right simply leads to a spike pit with the disappearing platforms and nothing more Either way you go, you'll eventually reach the bottomless pit with even more of those platforms. Eventually, you'll need Batcat to get past the huge chasm near the end to fight some fast bird enemies that will try to leap at you get to the boss.

The boss here is some flying thing that drops pigs on you. If you dig the dirt in the gaps in the floor, you can make it so that these pigs can get trapped in the holes you've made until they disappear. Just let the pigs leap over you, and hit the flying pig head boss after it comes down and flies your way. After you hit it, it will go back to the top center before dropping a pig and coming at you again. The pigs will bounce towards you upon hitting the ground, but you can walk under them as this is happening.

After the boss battle, The Big Cheese takes his anger out on Jerry Atric.

Stage 4

In this episode, Princess Vi sneaks out of the castle and heads to Tengu Mountain. Unfortunately, a lot of Ninja Crows have been spotted there.

The robots that spin around can be hit even in tornado form, and they take three hits to defeat.

The jug enemies will now spit out eggs that turn into birds if they hit the ground.

The guys who are shampooing their hair will shoot bubbles that do a fairly good job at tracking you; thankfully, both can be destroyed.

The women in bikinis shoot flames at you; thankfully, you can destroy the flames if they get in your way.

The boss here is a Tengu scarecrow. Get it to one side, then strike it when it leaps towards you. This will knock it back, and since it is at the side, the four projectiles it drops will not all drop. As long as you corner them, this battle is super-easy.

After the battle, Princess Vi will take a ride on Speedy only to squash him while Guido and Polly walk away.

Stage 5

Speedy Pizzas comes across Seymour "The Big" Cheese and tracks him, and finds out that he is looking for some buried gold so that he can purchase an ultimate weapon and use it to take over Little Tokyo. The Pizza Cats go to a cave to get to the gold before The Big Cheese does.

Be careful at the beginning, as you can get surrounded by ninja crows if you go a little too fast. Also, you'll need both Meowzma and Catton to go further once you start going underground.

Once you're underground, you'll be in a maze. Keep going right until you reach a ladder going up, then climb up it. You'll need Bat Cat to climb up one more ladder, and you'll soon face the boss...after finding out that the gold was really a goldfish.

The boss is the Mecha Rat. The Mecha Rat will throw fans at you at regular intervals and stomp the ground with its tail to cause stalactites to come down in fixed spots. Keep attacking the face (a boomerang Ninpo attack can help in that regard, especially if you can keep it on-screen for a while), and attack or avoid the fans. Watch the tail so that you'll know when to back off and avoid the stalactites. This boss is a little bit harder than the first four, but it won't be long before you beat this boss and go on to Stage 6.

Stage 6

Speedy Pizzas makes a special delivery to Seymour "The Big" Cheese for the Samurai Pizza Cats. Speedy finds out that he has taken something from Queen Eyzans called "Super Energy."

The bananas will slide towards you if they're not making huge jumps over head, but you can easily take them down.

The clams will constantly shoot bubbles at you, but only three bubbles can be on the screen at once. Also, the underwater area near the end is where Spritz will shine. Unlike other characters, you can swim with the Control Pad while using him, but this does consume the Help meter. He also has a quick punch attack.

The boss here is the Pirate. Whenever you hit the Pirate, you'll knock it back, so line yourself up with the boss and hit it when it gets close. This is easier with Spritz, due to his being able to move around faster underwater. Watch out for the bubbles that the boss creates, which will bounce toward you when generated.

Unfortunately, The Big Cheese already has the Super Energy. What is The Big Cheese planning?

Stage 7

Word goes around that a place called the Diamond Maze has opened in Little Tokyo yesterday, and that it is easy to get lost. Guido shows up and says that Lucille is missing in the maze, and that other people have gone lost in the maze as well.

Enter the maze. Go through the door to the right. Travel across the conveyor belts and climb up the ladder. If you need health, go up the first ladder; otherwise, go to the second ladder from left and go up it. Go left and go up the ladder past the pit. Go right and enter the fourth door. Go right. You'll be out of the maze.

Some of the big armored enemies will turn into bouncing sphere robots that keep trying to bounce at you. Hit them three times in total to get rid of them.

At the end, you'll meet a strange man named Dr. Purple, who never appeared in the show. He will reveal that he created the maze, then sics Blue Bat on you for the boss battle.

Blue Bat will teleport either on one of the sides of the screen or the center of the center platform. Get close, get a few strikes in, then move away so you can get away from the bats and smack them. After hitting Blue Bat enough times, Dr. Purple will get away, saying that the ultimate weapon will soon be complete.

Stage 8

Al Dente will tell the Samurai Pizza Cats that The Big Cheese's secret factory is in the Rat Cave, and they they have to go there immediately.

You can go up and get the health shortly after the start, but if you do that, you'll be forced to backtrack.

Eventually, you'll have to go down a small series of ladders and break a few rocks to reach the end and meet the Rude Noise, who fight you with their own crow Gundam.

To beat the boss, get a few strikes in, run away, and destroy the balls that the crow Gundam makes when it goes all the way to the left before going back to the right. This is all the crow Gundam does, and it is a very easy boss as a result.

After the battle, The Big Cheese will show up and shoot down the Samurai Pizza Cats with the ultimate weapon from his own hideout, which is now a flying fortress. Just as all hope is seemingly lost, Speedy's Ginzu Sword sends a signal and calls for The Goonie Birds, which supply the Samurai Pizza Cats with armor that lets them fly into the flying fortress.

Stage 9

The wind will push you back to the left at the beginning of the stage, so be sure to run to the right and jump over the bolts of electricity. After this, you can go all the way to the right for health, but you'll need to go down and use Bat Cat to continue. Strike at the bottom of the ladder to take out the enemy on the next screen.

Avoid the sparks that travel around the platforms.

The green pools of acid will do a whole heart's worth of damage, so take care to avoid them.

The boss is Yellow Banjo, another one of Dr. Purple's creations. You'll want to get up close to damage this boss, but you'll also want to avoid the notes it shoots out. It will shoot out three at first, then shoot two homing shots afterwards. Thankfully, you can easily destroy the homing attack with a normal attack, but if you can, attack Yellow Banjo with your ninpo attacks.

Stage 10

Now that you're further into The Big Cheese's lair, some of the corridors will be a little more narrow. Be careful when using Catton so you don't fall into any spikes.

This is the only stage where you will be utilizing all four Rescue Team Members: Catton for the rocks, Meowzma for the dirt, Bat Cat for the spike pit and for flying, and Spritz for the blocks of water you have to swim through.

The blue and pink floors with the arrows are conveyor belts that push you in the direction the arrows specify.

The first boss is the Purple Dragon. Jump over or destroy the blue balls and avoid the fireballs, and attack the head.

The second boss is the Power Chicken Z, Dr. Purple's personal mech. You'll get a small health refill, then you'll need to strike the arms to get them out of the way before attacking the viewing window where Dr. Purple is. All the while, you'll need to stay on the move - and walk underneath the torso - to avoid the torso. After a while, the chicken head will turn into a skull, and a little more damage to Dr. Purple will cause him to run away.

Stage 11

This area is short; however, you want to take care not to take a lot of damage as you will not be able to replenish any of your health.

The final battle is against Bad Bird. At the beginning of the battle, go up to Bad Bird and hit him a few times, then get back down and away from him so you don't get divebombed. You can also hit Bad Bird while he's diving, but it is not recommended.

Bad Bird then creates clones of himself. Keep jumping and hitting him - it doesn't matter where you do it, you'll be able to hit all of them - then stop when he starts moving around the room faster and drop down and get away to avoid being hit. It will take a little time to figure out where to stand to jump up and hit and to get the timing down for the rapid teleportation, but it can be done.

After the battle, the Samurai Cats are feared to be dead, bu
