In this entry, we take a ship from New Lost Wages to Cancum in our attempt to win Faith over.
There are a few things you can do in Cancum. To the east is a bar, and inside is Lefty, who is now setting up shop here as "Lefto" after the New Lost Wages authorities shut him down for the Barbarian Brew recipe you made. You'll also learn that Prune had taken over half of New Lost Wages, but they are now facing bankruptcy and are swamped with lawsuits from PiPhone owners thanks to your actions at the keynote. Even worse for Prune, Anu Singh put the information you gave her to good use and used it against Prune, revealing that Faith is more involved in everything than people knew. He'll also tell you that the nearby villa is owned by B.J., who has bought half of the island, built the villa, and is now currently here. Strangely, the locals built a wall so rich people would not bother them.
There is also a cooking book on the counter. Be sure to pick it up. Larry find a recipe for the Cancum alpacas' favorite food, Original Cancum Guacamole, which will require an avocado, a sun-ripened tomato, some lemon juice, fresh coriander and a pinch of salt. You can right-click the book in the inventory if you need the recipe again.
Head back into the town. The lemon tree will be picked bare, but you can get an avocado out of the avocado tree. From here, head back into Lefto's Bar and click on the "Cerveza de los Barbabos" poster. Larry will ask about it and find out that it is a new, regional variant of Barbarian Brew that Lefty has made himself, made in a blender using salt, lemon and the little lizards running around for the color. Ask Lefty for some "Cerveza de los Barbabos", and you'll get it on a plate along with lemon and a pinch of salt for the guacamole. Take it, and you'll have the beer, the lemon and the salt as separate items in the inventory.
Go back to town and click on the well crank, and take the bucket. There's nothing else to do here, so go back to the bar and head west to the alpaca pen. You're now in the area at the very beginning of the game. Talk to the guy with the guitar - whose name is El Rey - and go through the dialogue options. You'll find out that people here do not like the foreigners, and that the alpacas are luchadors.
Head back to town and click on the sand castle. You'll find a syringe in the sand castle. Head back to where El Rey was and take a tomato from the tomato plant, then head back to the starting point and place te tomato on the stone slab near the bar. If you click on the slab, Larry will find out it is hot, so use the tomato on the slab.
Go back to the alpaca pen and click on the alpaca manure. Larry will take some. Right-click on the loose patch on the sunscreen, and you'll find out it could tear at any time. Head back to the stone slab after enough time has passed and click on the tomato to find out that it is ripe. Put the manure you just got on the soil patch near the lemon and avocado trees, then click on the herb bed that pops up. Unless you use the book on the herb bed, however, you won't be able to find fresh coriander, and once you use the book, you'll get the coriander.
You now have everything for the recipe. Head back to the bar and click on the blender. Lefty will tell you not to touch it because he cannot afford to screw up his brew chain. Tell Lefty that you have a guacamole recipe, and that you will give him the recipe. Lefty will see this as a boost to his business and give you permission to mix everything.
Place the avocado, the salt, the lemon slice, the now sun-ripened tomato and the coriander in the blender, then click on the blender itself to mix everything. After that, use the well bucket on the blender to put the guacamole in it, then put it in the trough in the alpaca pen. The alpacas will eat the guacamole. From here, combine the beer with the syringe, then use the syringe on the loose patch in the sunscreen. Click on the sun beam, then Larry will put his arm up. El Rey will call Larry the man in white from the prophecy, which was mentioned way bak at the beginning of the game. You'll get an achievement ("The chosen one"), then El Rey will ask Larry to eat a cactus. Tell Larry to hand it over, and Larry will eat it. (This is a "but thou must" situation.) Suddenly, Larry will get absolutely high, and the alpacas will suddenly start talking. The alpacas will recognize you as the man in white, and tell you that a secret passage leads through the fireplace behind the wall at the bar. In order to open it up, you must pull a lever near the fireplace. From there, you can get to the villa.
