Chapter 7: Overcome

Ryu finally approaches the Castle of Darkness at the beginning.

At the beginning, you'll need to watch for bird enemies.

Once you enter the castle, there will be areas where the wind will push you back. There will be arrows that you will have to avoid, and there will also be fire walls that will also hurt to the touch.

There will be a lot of spiked walls, but thankfully, they don't hurt you. There will also be red, blue and green sets of platforms. They will go in and out of the walls for a differing amount of time. Red is the shortest, while blue is the longest.

In the green segment with all the spikes, grab onto the platforms from underneath as soon as possible when the spikes pop up out of of the ground. There will also be green, gray and blue platforms that go in and out of the wall, and the gray ones act much like the red ones from earlier. Near the end, take the high road so that suddenly spawning fireballs won't hurt you.

The boss here is a masked man with a fan. He will throw his fans at you, and he will also throw his mask at you. If you have the homing fireball sub-weapon, he's easy to defeat. If not, use the sword when you can, and avoid the attacks, especially the mask.
