PrinceWatercress plays Decap Attack - Part 3 of 7

The game starts throwing in some more enemies as well as an interesting surprise in the first stage. Read on!

Tibuland

World 3-1

No sooner do you start this stage does a giant totem pole chase after you, eating away at anything in its path...including you if you're not careful!

The first statue in the stage has an enemy. The second one has a skull.

If you can get to the platform near the end, you can get a much-needed heart to replenish some of your health if you need it.

World 3-2

The yellow blobs attack you by extending their eyes forward. If you can knock off the shell on its back by attacking it, you can stand on the yellow blob and use it as a platform as it moves. You can also attack it a second time.

The red pots with the up arrows on them will blow you upwards. Use this to your advantage.

Despite their foreboding appearance, nothing happens when you stand on the skull and crossbones platforms.

The green monsters with the eye in its mouth makes an appearance at the end, and it takes two hits to bring down. You can also jump over him and run right for the exit.

World 3-3

If you find a transparent heart with a white outline in a statue, pick it up. This will increase your maximum health by one heart.

The red fish moves up and down in the water much like the otters do, but they will approach you if you're close enough...even if you're on dry land!

There is an underwater maze somewhere in the level. Find it, then look around for a statue that contains a green flask. You'll have to collect this before you can leave for the next world.

Just like in Psycho Fox and Kid Kool, you can do a water skip by holding Down while running towards the surface of a body of water. There doesn't seem to be a lot of opportunities to do this, but it's there.

Interestingly, bridge segments do not re-spawn when you die, either.

The boss here is a green guy on a geyser. When he stops, he'll spin his head around and spit fireballs everywhere. These fireballs do home in on your current position and drop down when you're under them, so move away as soon as they drop. Keep whacking him in the face as he moves around.
