In this entry, we learn to jump off ladders and we get our first difficult boss.
Chapter 3: Samurai in Kendo
Before the chapter begins, you'll meet the samurai, who is intent on killing you.
You can climb onto the power poles and walk on the wires.
The black ninjas will throw rocks at you. The swordsmen will strike at you if you get too close, and the monks will jump around and throw staves downwards if you are nearby. The ninjas can be just as bad as the other two enemies, as it can be hard to see them at times. The bats move up and down as they approach.
Shortly after the start, take the high road, as the sewer leads to a dead end. At the end of the upper road, you can wall jump upwards to enter the temple.
The brown broken floors are not really floors at all. Also, use Down-Left and Down-Right to duck walk and walk under the spikes.
In the third section, take the far right ladder at the start. If you need to jump from a ladder, be sure to use Left or Right near the top to switch to a standing position.
The boss is the samurai. To beat him, you'll need to play chicken with him. You'll need to be at least four black background bars away from him to get him to charge at you. When he does, you can move back slightly, then move back in and hit him. After that get away. You'll need to keep getting back into that magic distance to bait him again. If you need to wall jump over him, do so.
After you beat the samurai, he will tell you to Mount Fuji and rescue his daughter, who is a geisha. It appears the man was coerced...
